It's another exciting edition of the Hive learners Creative Sunday, I almost skipped making this post due to having a very busy Sunday, least I forget, Happy Easter! Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying this Easter holiday wherever you are.

In my today's post, I will love to share the making prices of a unique gown, some call it long flowing blouse that I made, with this beautiful floral light crepe material I got at the market recently, I already had the style inspiration in mind for a while, and when J spotted this dress at the fabric store, I just knew it was the right one for me. The gown has a high up front slit, so it has to be worn with either a trouser or skirt beneath, the floral pattern of the fabric evens makes it a more comfortable beach wear, don't you think so as well?

Without further ado let's get right to the making process.

Materials used

Floral crepe print
Matching thread

Yeah, very little materials needed

Step 1

I started by drafting the front and back pattern of the dress, before cutting it out, the front has a slit which starts right after the waist length

Step 2

cut out facing for the front and back necklines, to give it a clean finish.

Step 3

I've sewed the facing round the neckline, an joined the front and back piece by the shoulders

Step 4

Next, I cut out a strip in fold to hem the sleeves also creating a turn-up sleeve effect

Step 5

I also neatly finish the front slit opening

Step6

Finally, I joined the dress by the sides using the seam allowance given

And here is the final look of my dress, a simple design, beautiful as well. I hope you like it as well.
