Traveling to Warri is top on my list for this Holiday

The December holiday luckily coincides with my leave period, and after much work, I get to have some rest. So, today marks the day I'm officially beginning my leave (I was due for leave since November 16th, but work didn't permit me), even though I won't be surprised if work calls for my attention. I hope to switch off my phone most of the time to enjoy some quiet.

I seem to like my leave period to coincide with December periods, and for next year, I may enjoy some part of it also. December periods are known for holidays as students vacate and the populace generally wraps up work for the new year. The Christmas period is also much celebrated by Christians and Muslims alike, all in the mood of festivity.

Last year, I had the privilege of traveling to Delta State for the first time during the holidays. My brother works there, and unfortunately, I barely spent a week there. He surely made sure I was comfortable, despite his busy schedule. The WiFi was available, and what I loved most was his fridge. The refrigerator had a variety of goodies to consume, and even though I'm not the junk type, I made myself comfortable with them at least. He took me shopping also; I didn't buy much, but I enjoyed the outing. Another interesting part of my holiday was when I followed him to Sapele, where he had an occasion. I got to see a massive ship at the port after enjoying the view of military parades. I traveled by road and had the opportunity to interact with other passengers, get to know Edo State, etc. Though the journey was brief, I enjoyed myself a little.

My work people already have my leave truncated, and December looks short already, but yes, I intend to revisit Warri this holiday and complete my assignment at my brother's house. I remember being told I added small pieces of flesh when I returned from Warri last year. I hope to improve on that during this holiday, though not in excess. I have an uncle at Warri; I may visit him also, even though I know he'll come looking for me if he knows I'm around.

I am not yet decided on Christmas, though, and I may spend Christmas at Warri if nothing at work pulls me back. You know already that I would most likely have a full or half chicken to myself. In this life, try to be the last born or second to the last born, which I am. However, I would prefer to spend New Year's Eve here in Ilorin. I prefer attending the crossover vigil at my home church, plus, I'm sure my mom, sister, and brother would have missed me for staying away that long.

Rest will be my priority during this holiday, followed by good food. The movies can come in at my leisure time, and of course, Hive all the way.

Thank you for reading. I would love to have your comments and contributions.

The December period is indeed a popular time for holidays, and it's wonderful that you have the opportunity to enjoy it. Your previous experience in Delta State was indeed enjoyable, and it's nice that you're planning to revisit Warri and possibly spend Christmas there. I wish you an enjoyable holiday season and a well-deserved break ahead of you

Sounds like you had a lot of fun in Delta. Having a fully stocked fridge is always the best. Especially if you have free access to take what ever you want. That's the dream😅.

In this life, try to be the last born or second to the last born

No wonder you enjoy a lot. You're the last born😅 I wish I was the last born, and I had elder siblings to spoil me. Well wherever you end up spending your holiday, I hope you have fun and ejoy it to the fullest.

Happy Holidays!

Exploring other places while on leave can be an exciting and fun experience. That's what I look forward to everytime I'm on leave. If you switch off your phone, then work won't be able to pull you out of it. Happy leave :)

It is fun to spend the holidays with your family, in your case I see that with your brother you will spend a holiday and with your mother and other siblings you will spend the end of the year. Enjoy both experiences.

Wow, you seem to have a lot of options about where to travel to for the holidays. I know how hectic working might be for a medical practitioner but you still have create time for yourself. I would love to travel to Warri someday, I have heard a lot of funny stories about that place.
