WORK AND STUDY: MY COPING MECHANISM.

Honestly, this is going to be a hard one for me because I can't relate. My job is virtual; not physical. I don't have to arrange, account or hustle for customers in classes.

Now don't think that my job being virtual makes it any easier for me. If you ask me, I think it's worse compared to being physical.

Firstly, the mental energy you'd have to burn in the cyber- workspace is immeasurable. Let alone having to combine school with it, arrgh.

My coping mechanism in cases like this, have always been simple. Just one word- abstain. Yes. I abstain from anything concerning work when school is on. I mean, combining classes, TDBs, reading for tests, ensuring you remember where you came from and letting your parents/guardians know they are not wasting their money on you. Between all of these, how can a student driving for first/second class and nothing less, possibly combine work and school?

I can't totally say the same for those who're training themselves in school, though. I have and will always respect their ability at combining both.

While the topic says work and study, it clearly expects me to pass across my experience(s) at combining work and study, and probably my coping mechanism.

If I ever combine both, it would be in extreme cases, and the fact that I am what many people would call "a jack of all trades" makes it harder to combine work and study. My various jobs won't even allow me to.

But in the future, if I decide to combine both, I'd simply study my school routine, evaluate it, and draft a very effective schedule to accommodate my work life and school life, because obviously I can't spend my whole 24 hours on school work.

Lastly, like I earlier said, combining both is not my thing. I'd rather prefer to be an efficient captain on one boat, than being a flawed captain of two ships.

Hehehehe .. you sounds funny. Though what works for A cannot possibly work for B but when we eventually find ourselves in such situation, the best is to sit down, check the school routine, evaluate, find the correct pattern to make it work for you.
