We all know that life is full of ups and downs, so we all have to go through one struggle or the other to make end means. And we do not have the power to know when the struggles will be over, so everyone has to keep pushing till we have a better result.

Stress is an exhaustion, that is, tiredness derived from losing strength or energy when doing something. In life, it's good to have struggles so that it will keep all of us on our toes to keep striving for the best.

The following are the steps I do take to manage my stress:

  • Take a break: leaving the vicinity of where I'm been stressed out to a cool environment gives me ample time to relax my mind and brain. This will allow me to divert my mind to another thing entirely.

  • Shower and take a nap: There are times I won't be feeling sleepy, so I will just take a shower and relax on the couch, it relaxes the muscles a lot. On the other hand, the body might needs enough sleep, it is advisable to have a sound sleep so as to be refreshed.

  • Ask for help: there is no crime in asking for help, no one is an island of knowledge. Asking for help from colleagues, books or through the internet is very important, it has helped me a lot. No one knows it all, so gathering ideas helps to relieve stress.

  • Playing games: playing video games must especially Bricks/Zuma game help me to forget my stress totally because my main focus at that particular moment will be the rules of the game and on how to win.

  • Rebalance work and home: There is a need to be healthy so as to work effectively and efficiently, so taking annual leave is very important. Sometimes I might not even go on a trip, spending quality time with my family helps to ease stress a lot.

  • Right nutrition: Regular intake of alcohol and stimulants does not erase difficulties, but causes health deterioration. So eating balanced diets, drinking enough water and limiting the intake of alcohol and stimulant helps a lot too.

All these and more are the ways I manage my stress so as to be healthy.

Yes, things breaks sure helps. Then, you're able to reatrategize and find better ways to what you're doing and the love from family and friends put the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing concisely.

Yeah, I agree with you... Having a good time to rest would definitely help manage stress effectively.

I have experienced the benefits of a good shower. It's not necessarily taking your bath, just standing under it and letting the water pour all over your body. It washes thee stress away and prepares you for sleep.
