Hello Hivians, hope you are doing great today?
My entry for W16E3 contest, reality of video game addiction.

There are several ways of having fun during leisure time, playing video game is one of them. I personally loves playing video game but I did not make it a hobby, making it a hobby will definitely lead to an addiction and been addicted to it comes with lots of disadvantages.

A video game is an electronic device that requires the user to move it's players with a controller and generate visual feedback in return. Video games can be played alone or with friends and family. It is an entertaining and captivating game because it allows the user to be focus and discipline cause of its rules and regulations.

There are lots of people that derive fun, joy and money in playing video games and because of this they tend to become expert in it and they do it consistently.

Talking about making money with video games, I'm sure the money earned can not give you the kind of life you desired at all, it will only take away your precious time and prevent you from focusing on how to earn better.

The time you are supposed to use for making research, studying or meditating can be lost to playing video games in which you earn little or no income. The constant playing of the game leads to addiction which you can not over come.

Addiction can be a positive or negative one. When you are addicted to something positive, it makes you to be more creative and you will always have a better idea of how things should be done. However, a negative addiction is very bad which can lead to side effects in one way or the other.

Consistent playing of video game is a negative addiction that can lead to vision problem, the more video gamer spends hours close to the monitor, the more your sight keeps deteriorating.

It can cause bad relationship and communication between the gamer's partner, friends or family members. You will always want to be alone, not talking or mingling with anyone.

It can also lead to lack of concentration, imagine a student who has an exam and instead of studying is playing video games, that is a divided attention and if care is not taking the student might fail.

In my opinion, addiction will always be bad, the best way is to avoid it completely. An adage says too much of everything is bad, so moderation is required in all we do.

Thank you!

It is pretty creepy the way everyone is ignoring what is happening to me and still going to Hivefest. Lay the dirty snatches out why dont ya. Fake it all you want creeps, its so obvious the blind eye you are turning. @fyrstikken told me what V2K and RNM was before they turned it on for me. Around that time he introduced me to @roelandp . I still have the emails between myself and @roelandp . This chain is centralized by design and @fyrstikken helped set it all up to fuck everyone, one by one, slowly into my situation. This is no joke you dumb mother fuckers, they shock you to your thoughts..... Hello????? It is in store for everyone you fools and your helping. Voices pulsed in your head and shocks to your thoughts??? Ignore me and help fuck innocent people for life? @roelandp and other top witnesses I know are involved with @fyrstikken.. Wait until people find out you conspired to enslave them with this shit. I am not crazy and you know it. they are doing this shit to me and told me what it mother fucking was BEFORE THEY TURNED IT ON! Your acting like naive children or maybe you are just part of the problem? You look like sociopaths. Everyone should unplug from HIVE until they are caught, .your. celebrating and ignoring my obvious, you look like fools. You know who is doing it....they are trying to kill me with it. The Havana Syndrome is real too you slave trading V2K, RNM enabling fuckers. Arrogantly play ignorant you Creeps, your setting the table for trafficking and total enslavement. I did not know I was circumvented until a year after I was..People here will be nice until it?s too late. There is no way to stop it once they have you. Grow the fuck up, this is not aliens, gods, celebrities or a medicate-able mental concern. It is 100% electronic and beast as fuck. You do not want this shit. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism ..... https://ecency.com/gangstalking/@acousticpulses/electronic-terrorism-and-gaslighting--if-you-downvote-this-post-you-are-part-of-the-problem

A man who's attention is divided will find it difficult to make it, imagine sometimes he maybe lost in discussions because he is thinking of the next tactics to be used during gaming

I'm glad you mentioned the fact that addiction can be positive and negative because I personally believe not all addictions are bad depending on what you are addicted to.

Concerning the game addiction, some people tends to have problems socialising with others, in order to feel that loneliness they get engaged in other activities like gaming to pass time which in return becomes and addiction that segregate them from the rest of the society.

In cases where by, you are playing a game not because of the pleasure you are getting from it but due to the fact that you getting paid, I don't think that can be categorised as addiction. Even if it is, that will be a purposeful addiction because the moment the game stops paying such user will definitely abandon such game.

Nice write up.

You are correct, socialising with others will be very difficult. But sir, did you think an addicted gamer will stop if a particular game does not pay them again?
To me, winning or losing a game is plus or minus one and it is a risk.

Thanks for visiting sir!

Playing game alone is very interesting and people gets addicted even without pay talkless of a game that pays, such addicts life will surely depend on it.

Too much of everything is bad.

Being addicted to a game will no doubt cause friction in the person's relationships, and if care is not taken, it will destroy everything.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
