A Home this sunday | Creative-Sunday

I’ve just come back from watering on the plants, so I thought I should sit down and write a post for Creative Sunday.

It has been a long time since I spent a Sunday doing something creative, so I thought, why not get a little creative this Sunday?

So, I’ve decided to learn drawing, painting, and sketching from my sister. It’s a step-by-step process, and it will take quite a time. My sister has actually become a very skilled artist. she paints beautifully and sells her work. That’s what inspired me to give it a try, especially since I have a keen interest in architectural design.I want to strengthen my ability to express myself creatively.

Things I Gathered

  • A4 White paper
  • Brushes
  • Color Palette
  • Acrylic Colors
  • Water

My sister also got a separate paper. We were both painting the same painting. The idea was for me to watch her and imitate her strokes, because one learns through imitation.

First, a green base color was applied and then blended with the blue color layered over it. This will create a nice background texture upon which I can paint a cottage-style house.

With a green base color and blue blended in, the result that emerged didn't appeal to me at all. I really didn't like the texture. In reality, the learning process will take some time. After all, one is always learning.

OMG, drawing a tree was a really difficult task for me. Even though my sister had taught me an easy way to do it, I still couldn't manage to draw a proper tree. it ended up looking more like smoke rising from where the trees should have been.

Here we go, this cottage-style home is now ready.

But there was still one thing missing at the end, my signature. So, I signed it and then showed the artwork to my father. He recognized immediately that I created it.

Art is a actually a stress buster. I have seen my daughter indulging into painting or drawing whenever she needs to relax

This is really nice, especially for your first try. I like how you showed the whole learning process and didn’t hide the parts that were difficult. The tree part made me laugh 😂 but honestly, you did a good job. Keep practicing, I’m sure you’ll get much better with time.
