Alive & Thriving Goals Monday : Hello September 🎉|| AATYr7 || Prompt A Day 😊

This is it! We are down to the last four months of 2026. Before that let me share my weekly Hive goals tracking first. 😅 I usually post the day after as I find myself having better mindset than doing it after work hours. 😅

After the week-long Palawan trip, my daughter's vacation plans were not over. During her last weekend in Manila, we were off to Baguio City for an overnight adventure. There's a really amusing albeit irritating story about the trip. First off we were early at the bus terminal (Victory Liner Avenida) only to find there were no buses there -- for reasons unknown to us. Good thing the area is teeming with other bus terminals that had buses traveling up north. We found one at Genesis Bus Terminal but the bus would not leave until ten in the morning. Boo Hoo! 💡Then I suggested we try Philippine Rabbit terminal. I remember this back in the days when Mom would bring us to travel to Baguio. We found a tricycle to take us there -- I couldn't walk that far and fast back and forth. Thankfully, the bus conductor suggested we ride their bus to Dau, Pampanga. They would stop at the main bus terminal and we could ride to Baguio from there. It was almost eight in the morning, so we decided we'd rather be on the road than wait till ten before traveling. Above photo was from that bus.. as we were nearing our stop.

Well it turned out my decision was right. We got to the hotel in Baguio just at the right time. It's pretty rainy though and so the view by the lobby shows a lot of fog. 😅 There was another typhoon passing through at that time. Thankfully, it just brought rains but nothing too bad so travel was still quite fine. I'll share more about the Baguio trip next time.

Well for us it's monsoon season, so instead of summer, it's all about monsoon rains. Thankfully it has now stopped in my area. Sadly, it left a lot of areas flooded. The videos on the damages were tremendous. Personally, I don't think it's just Mother Nature. A lot of areas got flooded that could have been prevented had there been less corruption in government and more competent public contractors and workers. Bridges that collapse and dikes that do not serve their functions make me question what type of work is being done locally? TSK! More importantly, I hope some folks would be held accountable for the unacceptable work on these structures. 😒

There's a bit of growth for the week. Again it's slow but steady so I think that's pretty good. Still playing Rising Star game and have been purchasing extra cards to do the daily mission (need to add more fans). Glad I had spare Starbits for the purchases. 😅On the side, I'm also growing diesel pools slowly each week. Target is 17K HP and 300 HBD. It will take a little while but I will get there. 😆

Counting down to the end of 2026. I'm more focused on tasks at hand and what I could do to keep improving daily. I'm of the mindset that every little positive change will eventually amount to something huge. 😉 Let's see what we could do with the next thirty days. 😅
