Brookies = Brownie Cookies

Little Miss has been asking me to bake cookies since forever. I always put it aside as they are very "sugary" but being a persistent kid that she is, Little Miss won the other day.

"Okay, let's bake cookies!" I said.

"The one with marshmallows inside?" she asked me with a bright sparkle in her eyes.

Oh man, she remembers the cooking video we watched where the cookie had marshmallows. The way the melted marshmallow stretched is just so satisfying.

Long story, short, we finally did it. She is always very eager to assist me in the kitchen, which I don't mind. I love my Little Apprentice! 😍 She shared a video of her first time to bake cake and she's starting to be a pro.

While baking, our conversation drifted to us "possibly selling" our cookies. Aww, she immediately got excited- perhaps already drawing pictures in her mind. Yass! A kidpreneur in the making. Haha.

"We need to make a set-up," she exclaimed. Whew, she's thinking we're going to make a cookie stand outside the house and sell them to passersby.

"Nah," I said. "We will sell it online to our friends."

Delivery

Today we finally made a batch that I already marketed to my beloved friends. Little Miss and I started baking in the morning, and we were out by afternoon.

I took a snap of this shop which we passed by as we walked from the parking. The Souq at the World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi has is a commercial complex which has caters a lot of tradional Arabic artifacts, spices, perfumes, etc. I was thinking to walk around here some more to take some photos after we finish our delivery, but you know what happens when you finally get to see beautiful friends after a long time.

We spent lunch with titas @pingcess and @appleskie, then swung by the grocery to get some foodstuffs.

The Crafts Shop

I have also recently started my crochet adventures, and I'd say I now understand what "yarn addiction" is all about.

I searched where I can find yarns around my area and found this shop as a top recommendation. We went there after doing the grocery shopping.

I did not realize that there are still shops that follow broken timings (they close between 1.00 pm to 4.30pm) and since it was only 4.00pm, we left empty handed. I went ahead with my other errands, but still managed to come back to this shop after 5pm.

YARN HEAVEN!

There's just so many colors to choose from, and different kinds of materials too.

We went around the shop and found lots of interesting stuff we can use for our crafts project, even science (they have test tubes, flasks and beakers). Now I know where to go!

There is still another shop that I plan to visit, to compare the collections ans prices. I am still not confident to order online as I still want to familiarize myself with the different kinds of yarn.

Sweet Wednesday

What a sweet day it has been, indeed. The pressure of baking the cookies, hoping they love it (I got good feedback, yey!) and an impromptu banana cake (not part of the plan but apparently high demand). Then of course, there's a lovely mini reunion with precious friends.

At least, something to that just turned my not-so-good start of the month yesterday.

How about you? How did your day go?
