Wednesday Walk around Ashbourne, Derbyshire Dales, UK

I had a walk around Ashbourne today, which is a market town in the Derbyshire Dales, UK. It has many historical buildings and shops, and holds the historic Shrovetide football match each year. The first thing I noticed about the church is that the clock isn't in the middle. I wonder if they forgot and then had to squeeze it on?

I enjoyed walking around the little alleys and peeping into people's gardens. I try not to look too much of a stalker though!

I love the cobblestones but not great to walk or wheel over.

It's great to see the shops open again. Unfortunately, it can get very confusing as each shop has it's own rules. Sometimes, I get home totally bamboozled with it all. I still enjoyed spending money locally though. 🙂

Wow, I can't wait to get back to the UK again and grab a van- be an Aussie gypsy and travel around to checkout all of those little villages!

The history, oooh the secrets! lol...Which is why Escape to the Country and Antiques Roadshow are 2 of my favourite programs...

Nice walk! Thanks for showing us! 😀

There are plenty of antique shops around here. Just a bit expensive. Thanks for dropping by.
