Wednesday Walk — Keeping a Promise to Meet an Old Friend
In October last year, an old friend from high school contacted me and said she was going on a business trip to the city where I work. She also said that she wanted to meet me at that time. Unfortunately, I was in another city at the time, also on a business trip.
Early last month, she contacted me again, saying that there would be another business trip in early March. I initially said that I would probably be out of town again under the same conditions as before, but that was not certain, and I said I would get back to her. Fortunately, my activities were postponed, so I was able to keep my appointment to meet her this time.
Yesterday evening, after his work was done, he invited me to meet him, and during one of our chats, she asked me to go on holiday to Pulau Weh. I asked her how long she wanted to holiday there, and she said just one day. After much discussion regarding the plan, we finally agreed not to go on holiday to Weh Island, and instead went to a cafe called "Maha Corner" which is located on the beach of Lhoknga.
The journey to the location took about 35 minutes from where she was staying. We left at 4 pm, and once there enjoyed some food and drinks at the cafe while chatting about life updates. The conversation went on for quite a while until we realized that the sun had started to set. Since the beach we chose is one of the best places to enjoy the sunset, we went along the beach right in front of the cafe while enjoying the sunset view.
On that occasion, in front of such a beautiful view, of course, I immediately took my smartphone and captured some pictures. After walking along the beach and enjoying the sunset, we decided to head back. Along the way back, we talked on the motorbike and she said that she was very happy to visit the location. She also said that if he has the opportunity to come here again, he really wants to visit Weh Island, especially the 0 Km Monument of Indonesia.
