Wednesday Walk | A park full of flowers - Welcoming TET in Vietnam

With the Lunar festival closely, the city of HCMC is preparing itself to welcome the biggest celebration ever, the beginning of TET ! Parks all around HCMC are being decorated with flowers of all sorts. The city council does more than expected every year to welcome this day and many would travel to HCMC just to take photos of these beautiful parks.

Council workers working hard to clear the previous years plants, making way for new ones. These red flowers by the side will be planted on the courtyard once the workers are done clearing the area. There are also yellow flowers as well, making it a nice combination for photo taking. It's amazing just how much money is spent every year for the purpose of TET. And this is only one part of the city, every other location of District One will be decorated like this.

Now may not be the right time to take photos but by end of the week, this whole are will be filled with flowers. I can't wait to visit the Flower Market; I recall last year it was filled with flowers of all sorts and people were just busy buying flowers to decorate their homes. Somehow, this year I expect the flower business isn't going to be as busy and good as before especially with the rise of the pandemic.
