Mall Hopping in Tagbilaran City

Hello everyone! How is it going? I hope that you are all doing well today. Today, I would like to share with you a trip we had done a few weeks ago to Tagbilaran City. We usually go to the city twice a month, during the weekends because that's when my husband is off from work and since we live two hours away from the city, we have to wait for the availability of a driver.

During our trip, the weather was very good. The sun was shining brightly, we hit the road at around eight in the morning and it was already hot! But the nice thing was that the skies were blue and the sea was very calm.

We stop by a gasoline station in Garcia Hernandez which has a view of a nearby quarry. These ships sail to international destinations according to the gasoline boy that I had talked to during our stopover.

Here's another ship waiting for the limestones to be loaded. The beach here in this area is a bit stony. Pebbles are not very smooth so walking here barefooted would be a bit harsh. But as you can see, the water's very clear, and the stones are revealed. The stones here are somehow covered with green-colored algae or seaweed perhaps.

Then we had another stopover because I found the sea very inviting, I thought I could get a good photo from this area. When I climbed up to the second floor, I spotted some who were fishing!

Then as I went nearer to them, I realized they were foreigners and I am not sure if they had caught many already but they seemed to be enjoying their time! I believe there are many fishes in this area.

After this, we had no more stopovers. Since we arrived in Tagbilaran City at past ten in the morning, we decided to have lunch first, we just had a light breakfast that's why we were already hungry.

Our destination for lunch was Gerarda. We have dined in here once before and I had a not-so-good impression back then. But my brother said they offer good food so we have to give them another try.

In Gerarda, they practice the same protocols, social distancing, and wearing of masks, they also have many sanitizer dispensers all over the restaurant. There were only a few tables filled and we got ours immediately after entering.

There were several figurines too inside, they were the remarkable landmarks of the world. I could spot Burj Khalifa, Big Ben, Statue of Liberty and so on. They also have different miniature cars! Here's Matti and Papa smiling for the camera.

Here's a wider view of the restaurant. They have two sections, this one in front was not occupied, only that area after the staircase.

We were very hungry that we didn't bother taking photographs of the food anymore! In fact, I only realized that when we were done eating and boy, I am glad we went here because the food was really good! We ordered a set in their menu which has four viands, I added corn soup and ceviche plus our drinks. In the set were lechon kawali, fish soup, beef steak and chopseuy. We almost ate everything! The serving was also good and we had to take away the corn soup and the lechon kawali because there were still left overs.

After that, we headed to Mandaue Foam and bought a few items for our room. James got some items for himself too!

Then we went to a little mall hopping. From Island City Mall, we headed to Alta Citta then to Bohol Quality Mall. This was where we bought a couple of items in the department store. The photo above shows my niece already tired of walking here and there so we decided to take a seat.

I spotted a potty training bowl too which was really cute plus the color's gray and I love gray! I was already very close to buying it but I realized Matti isn't ready for that yet so we'll just get back to it once Matti can already walk well.

After all the things that we did in Tagbilaran City, we headed back home. We arrived at Dimiao and spotted many fruit vendors on the roadsides. We stopped to buy some watermelons, they got different varieties and my favorite is that yellow-colored one.

Did you know that the green-colored one has yellow flesh while the yellow-colored one has red? Still, my favorite goes to the yellow-colored skin melon.

I have to take a photo of the road as it was already getting dark but there still golden skies. The vendors had already turned on their lamps and lights. Some of them were already closed too!

We arrived home at seven in the evening. It was a long day!
