Wednesday Walk : Experience the Cow's market in an unfamiliar place

Intro

I have been under house arrest for the Corona virus situation since last March. Again my workplace, being next to my own village, so I live in the village. So I wondered if something could be done. From that thought I thought of giving a small scale cows farm. That's why I went to the market on Wednesday to buy cows.

An unknown Cow's market

The name of the market is Baynagar Bazar. It is a village in Maligaon union of Daudkandi upazila of Comilla district. Cows are bought and sold at this Bayanagar market every Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm.

It was a market completely unfamiliar to me. And I didn't even know how to get to this market. I learned about the market from the husband of one of my cousins. Later I searched on Google map. But how to go there was not mentioned. So we were forced to first wait for 1 hour for my cousin's husband at Elliotganj Bazar in Daudkandi Upazila. We leave home very early in the morning. About an hour later I reached the market by rickshaw from Elliotganj and later by CNG.

I went there and saw that it was a small market. The market is mainly famous for cows. I went to the market and saw about one hundred to one hundred and fifty cows in the market. There were no other cows in the market except pregnant cows.

Next we like a few cows. But seeing the high market price of cows, I left again after a while. Of course, there was another reason to leave. One of the people we went with got into trouble with a man with the money owed and informed the police station to come. So my Cousin's husband said ,you go. Because there can be trouble here. Later we left. But we drove away. This was my Wednesday experience.

That day could not buy cows, because the market price was very high. There is a possibility of loss if I buy so high prices. So, I will buy from the next cow's market, I have come to thinks. Thanks..

Wow, your Wednesday walk was certainly an adventure wasn't it.

So glad that you weren't able to get a cow as they are not very economical animals- especially when the milk that they produce should go to their own babies.

The money that you saved there would be worth more- nutritionally, mentally and physically if you put it into a vegetable garden for your family and you live in such a perfect environment for growing veggies there, it would be easy and they would just flourish I'm sure and then you could get all of your family out into the sunshine to help you as you teach them about the nutritional factors of fruit and veggies.
