Wednesday walk to Izmailovsky garden

The Izmailovsky Garden is located on the embankment of the Fontanka River. It is a unique place, unusual for St. Petersburg. The estate was originally located on this plot. Then a park was planted here. After that the territory of the park was rented out and light buildings of entertainment facilities were built: a small stage theatre and a restaurant. Surprisingly, the tradition has survived to this day. Nowadays Izmailovsky garden is a park with two theaters. Theatrical posters hang on the walls, park sculpture is cozily placed between trees, flower beds are planted on sunny lawns. And on one of the benches there is the most heartwarming St. Petersburg sculpture, the St. Petersburg Angel.
