WednesdayWalk with @qwerrie through the yards and embankments
If you are ever going to go for a walk with @qwerrie, take reasonable care and wear protective equipment such as a bulletproof vest. Or at least a raincoat. Although in hot weather as it is now in our city, a water pistol with a stock of shells is a pleasure, and hiding is not necessary.
@qwerrie met yesterday with a memory card salesman for a camera in my area. We decided to meet up and go for a walk. The beginning of the walk was in the yards, and then we went out to the Neva river embankment and admired the classic views.
You have to walk in the yards very carefully. Barely do you have time to breathe after the previous events when you meet a crocodile.
There's a young girl's sculpture right in the grass. This is a portrait of the sculptor's wife.
She used to be naked and completely white. But the installation was not regulated, the artist did not receive permission from the city to install local sculpture. The housing administration did not destroy the sculpture, but found it necessary to dress it up. The dress is regularly repainted in different colors.
I noticed a Black Square on one of the walls. However, if you look around the corner, you will find that this square is part of a more complex composition.
After a short time it started raining, we waited for bad weather with tea and pies. After it rained, we continued the walk. We were moving towards the central part of the city, towards the Neva river embankment.
This is the yard of one of the houses on Galernaya Street. We have almost reached the Neva River, the facade of this building looks at the embankment. The houses here aren't very tall. We climbed to the top of one of the stairs, from above you can see only the nearest roofs and spires above them.
This is a view on the other side of the Neva River, on Vasilyevsky Island. Actually, it's still quite light, but the camera automatically worked out the exposure at minus.
Beautiful wooden front door and reflections of clouds:
I photographed this view too, but the post is already getting indecently large, so I decided to publish it separately.
This is the final frame, @qwerrie is photographing St. Isaac's Cathedral.
Thank you very much!
Haha did you wear a bulletproof vest? Come on @qwerrie if you want to shoot just use the camera! XD Looks like you guys had fun! And that's such a wonderful place :o
