Exode Crew Generation Testrun

There's a lot of excitement in the air surrounding eXode game right now. Testrun #1 went live yesterday which means we can now test out how the crew generation works! I decided to give it a go so that I won't be completely lost when the game goes live for real (which will be soon!).

This is my lab scientist. I accidentally gave him an extra point in Intimidation which isn't necesarrily good and seemed irreversible. But I gave the remaining bonus points to his already high Science skill. I also used all the investigation points to find out his background. In his previous life, he lived on a corporate world, an entire planet owned by a corporation. He also gained a Planetary Expertise bonus and a Loyalty bonus. Backgrounds are cool because they grant minor bonuses as well, though some give negative bonuses (ie -10 loyalty). One of my crew even turned out to be a Flesh Cult member!
Unfortunately, there aren't enough investigation points to discover all backgrounds of all crew so they must be used wisely. At least during colonization there will be chances to discover more background and traits/bonuses. At least that's my understanding.

Once the crew generation is finished, you go to station approach. Here you can view the stats of your crew represented as percentage to pass a test, such as upgrading the hyperdrive.

As you can see, my best mechanic was pretty mediocre. According to @elindos, the crew member will go through one test after another automatically and in next versions we will be able to see their progression in an activity.

I love how the Space Station Aramea looks and the little bit of lore is very interesting as well, having started off as a agricultural hub. I wonder what the other stations look like...

This guy's implants make him look rather silly. I remember the description of one of my crew members in the EVAC demo said "ugly". Poor bastard!

This will be a short post since it was a short testrun. But there will be more updates to come!
