Halloween arrives and that means the special drawing and commemoration of this date... I hope to have one for Christmas and Valentine's Day although I can't promise much... There is also Dia de los muertos, mother's or father's day, woman's day, man's day (yes, congratulations you also have a day!! ( ❛ ͜ʖ ❛ )), graphic designer's day, suicide awareness day, auyama day... What would be your favorite holiday?

Llega halloween y eso significa el dibujo especial y conmemoración de esta fecha... Espero tener una para navidad y san Valentin aunque no puedo prometer mucho... También esta el día de los muertos, días de la madre o del padre, día de la mujer, día del hombre (si, felicidades también tienen un día!! ( ❛ ͜ʖ ❛ )), día del diseñador grafico, Dia en concientización del suicidio, día de la auyama... ¿Cual seria sus días festivos favoritos?

Going back to the post and ignoring a few of my concentration problems. This drawing was done as a challenge among some friends; done and finished in one day, and I think it's the simplest drawing I've presented... a new aesthetic that I still wonder why I don't continue.

Regresando al post e ignorando unos cuantos problemas míos de concentración. Este dibujo fue hecho a modo de reto entre unos amigos; hecho y terminado en un solo día, y creo que el dibujo mas simple entre todos los que he presentado... una estética nueva que aun me pregunto porque no continue.

Process/Proceso:

I didn't know which characters to draw at the beginning. I was only sure that I wanted a voodoo boy. Why? Because I love the design of those black magic Caribbean freaking dolls, they remind me of the good old days.

No sabia que personajes debía dibujar en sus inicios. Solo estaba segura que quería un chico vudú ¿por que? porque amo el diseño de esos pejelagartos de magia negra caribeña, me hacen recordar los viejo buenos tiempos.

The colors were inspired by another artist; I loved the way she worked her simple aesthetics, opaque colors but they differed well from each other.

Lo colores fueron inspirados de otro artista; me encanto la forma en que trabajaba su estética simple, colores opacos pero se diferencian bien entre ellos.

As I mentioned at the beginning it would be the first time I paint in this same style, but the result was very good. I should repeat it more, even if it is with practice sketches. As a personal addition (and because I need to put stuff materials in quick painted posts) what I loved most about this holiday was the costumes and the candy, I still remember in my young days when they celebrated it in my house like the old american style.

Como mencione al inicio seria la primera vez que pinto en este mismo estilo, pero el resultado fue muy bueno. Debería de repetirlo mas veces, aunque sea con dibujos y sketches de practica. Como un agregado personal (y porque necesito meter relleno en posts de pinturas rápidas) lo que mas he amado de esta festividad siempre fueron los disfraces y los dulces, aun recuerdo en mis tiempo de joven donde se celebraba en mi urbanización al viejo estilo gringo.
