This is unreal - as if you channeled me at the time! I lived the better part of my life in such a landscape on the Canadian Prairie. This looks very much like the Oldman River. The plume looks dramatic, but there are frequently violent storms that pull dust high into the atmosphere, particularly late fall, stripping soil from the plowed fields.
