Mechanical Hound (first version), 1988

gouache on paper

Yesterday I posted an early airbrush work inspired by Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451.This first version of the Mechanical Hound is closer to Bradbury's description of the robotic creature.

Their idea of "hound" and mine are clearly very different XD

That thing is terrifying and I'm already dreaming up ways to counter one to an army of them in case some blithering idiot thinks that they're actually a good idea.
