Water Colour Portrait Painting with process!

Hi everyone, today I am sharing another watercolour painting and the process that went into creating it. I experimented more with the drip technique in this one and chose a different set of colours compared to the previous portrait. It was also important for me to capture her expression - an intense stare with a very slight smile.

Step 1 - Pencil drawing

Step 2- Adding the colours

Step 3 - I use watercolour pencils for details around the eyes and add a further layers of watercolours to make the colours more vibrant.

Hope you liked this one, it was also completed on A3 300 gsm watercolour paper over several days.

Great job! Love the colors and the run-off at the bottom. Cheers - Caroline 😀
