Process:

This one is actually coming from a real mushroom, the Rhodotus Palmatus, but I added my sauce to it a little bit. I started modeling the 3 parts: the body, the outer hat, and the inner hat. Then textured the body, added a particle system with a sphere that I decided was gonna be gooey at first, but I changed my mind later. Then textured the inner layer, and that was half of the job.

Then texturing the top hat took me a while. I tried multiple displacement systems until I was satisfied, and kept throwing them away. I opted for something simple at the end, judging that I spent way enough time on that for a day.

Then I added all the shmilblik, all the lights, all the stuff and things, to make it look better than just a mushie in front of a camera, and done.
