Mini 6x4" Raven Painting #2

avatar

This is one of a series of small paintings that my wife, Amanda Turner made to sell in her art studio. I thought this one came out pretty nice! The canvas is pretty small, at just 6x4 inches.

Unnamed Raven - Acrylic on 6x4" Canvas

If you missed it, be sure to check out the first raven in this series. This painting doesn't have highlights that the first one has. It is not quite as 'sparkly' I guess you could say! (That's my non-artist opinion)

It has kind of grown on me though. I feel like all of the ravens that she painted have their own personalities. I guess I wasn't the only one who felt that way - pretty much all of the pieces sold out pretty quickly! I had been suggesting to her for a while that she do smaller more affordable pieces. I think that a lot of people who come into the studio would love to buy something but just can't spring for the larger pieces.

Thanks for stopping in! Check back tomorrow for the next canvas in the series!

Very nice! What is her favorite medium to use and what is her favorite thing to recreate? People? Landscapes? Animals? Or a little bit of everything? This is some really fantastic work!

Her favorite is definitely figurative work on canvas. I think if she could have her way she would be a renaissance painter from the old days (humans). She has often said that the invention of photography made redundant this style of work.

Very nice work that of your wife, I have not had the honor of seeing the other works of this series but they must be equally incredible. ;)
