¡Hola a todos! Estos días me he tomado un descanso de mi trabajo de la mañana y si que me siento bastante descansada. Mis ánimos para dibujar (pero para mí misma) se han repuesto también luego de ver un par de dibujos que hice hace unos meses atrás.

Siento que poco a poco voy avanzando y eso está bien, pues ya salí por fin del pensamiento negativo de estar estancada y no avanzar a ninguna parte.

Les mostraré una de las practicas que hice en el curso de anatomía artística en el que estaba, a pesar de ser mi primer trabajo con la técnica de puntillismo creo que es un buen ejemplo de que voy por el camino correcto.

Hello everybody! These days I have taken a break from my morning work and I do feel quite rested. My spirits to draw (but for myself) have also recovered after seeing a couple of drawings that I did a few months ago.

I feel that little by little I am moving forward and that is fine, because I have finally come out of the negative thought of being stagnant and not moving anywhere.

I will show you one of the practices I did in the artistic anatomy course I was in, despite being my first job with the pointillism technique I think it is a good example that I am on the right path.

El desafío era realizar un cráneo artístico en la posición de 3/4. El profesor nos había dado todas las pautas para un dibujo frontal y hasta superior, pero ésta parte nos quedaba de tarea. Así que busqué un par de imágenes de referencia que pudieran servirme.

Adicional a eso, había que darle nuestro estilo. La idea de la cinta cubriendo el cráneo me gustó. Como ya he mencionado, me gustan las cosas lindas, así que pensé que colocarle un lazo lo haría más tierno.

Procedí entonces a realizar el dibujo base (que sería mi guía) con un lápiz 2H, ubicando la cinta en el contorno del cráneo lo más certero posible (Hasta hice uso de una cinta real que enrolle en mi rodilla para imaginármelo mejor ja ja)

The challenge was to make an artistic skull in the 3/4 position. The teacher had given us all the guidelines for a frontal and even superior drawing, but this part was left for us to do. So I looked for a couple of reference images that might help me.

In addition to that, we had to give it our style. I liked the idea of ​​the tape covering the skull. As I already mentioned, I like cute things, so I thought putting a bow on it would make it cuter.

I then proceeded to make the base drawing (which would be my guide) with a 2H pencil, placing the tape around the skull as accurately as possible (I even made use of a real tape that I wrapped around my knee to imagine it better ha ha)

Ya teniendo el dibujo base listo, haciendo uso de un marcador punta fina (0.8 porque no tenía otro disponible), me aventuré a hacer los primeros puntos. Primero rellenaba con puntos un poco aglomerados las zonas más oscuras (que eran las que me darían el efecto de sombras) y para las zonas claras, los puntos los hacía un poco más apartados.

Having the base drawing ready, using a fine point marker (0.8 because I had no other available), I ventured to make the first points. First, I would fill the darker areas with slightly agglomerated points (which were the ones that would give me the effect of shadows) and for the light areas, the points made them a little further apart.

Sentía que estaba perdiéndome entre tanto punto y para no entrar en pánico, me concentré en las partes más oscuras del dibujo, para mantener la forma del mismo.

I felt like I was losing myself in the meantime and in order not to panic, I concentrated on the darkest parts of the drawing, to keep the shape of it.

A estas alturas del dibujo, mi desespero ya se había esfumado, me perdí en el marcado de los puntos, tratando de ubicarlos de la mejor manera para no arruinar el trabajo (lo cual era bastante fácil considerando que no podía borrar).

At this point in the drawing, my despair had already disappeared, I got lost in the marking of the points, trying to locate them in the best way so as not to ruin the work (which was quite easy considering that I could not erase).

Lo siguiente fue lo más difícil para mí, no tenía ni lá más remota idea de como hacer para que la cinta luciera como una y no perderla entre tanto punto.

Al final no logré dar ese efecto satinado de la cinta raso, pero al menos los "dobleces" ayudaron un poco a sobreentender el dibujo una vez borradas las líneas guías.

The following was the most difficult for me, I had no idea how to make the tape look like one and not lose it in between.

In the end I did not manage to give that satin effect of the satin ribbon, but at least the "folds" helped a little to understand the drawing once the guidelines had been erased.

(Así lo dejé porque no quería arriesgarme a dañarlo ja ja / That is how I left it because I did not want to risk damaging it ha ha)

Utilizar está técnica fue bastante relajante cuando aparté la preocupación por hacerlo bien y me dejé llevar por el proceso. Es increíble como el ojo humano puede encontrar figuras relacionando objetos, sin duda, debo realizar otra obra con puntillismo. Sólo que escogería una temática diferente.

Using this technique was quite relaxing when I pushed aside the worry about getting it right and got carried away with the process. It is incredible how the human eye can find figures relating objects, without a doubt, I must make another work with pointillism. Only I would choose a different theme.

Como extra, les mostraré otro dibujo que hice, es el mismo diseño del cráneo con cinta pero con la técnica de claroscuro. De verdad adoré ese toque tierno que obtuve en el cráneo gracias a la cinta. Quizás más adelante lo dibuje con color, me siento intrigada por ver el contraste del cráneo en un tono beige con la cinta de un tono rojo o hasta fucsia.

As an extra, I will show you another drawing that I made, it is the same design of the skull with tape but with the chiaroscuro technique. I really loved that cute touch that I got on the skull thanks to the ribbon. Perhaps later I will draw it with color, I am intrigued to see the contrast of the skull in a beige tone with the ribbon of a red or even fuchsia tone.
