My First Digital Art - 'Look Morty, HIVE will get us to the moon!'

Yo artists!

I'm more than thrilled to create this post and share with you my first graphics drawing. Or painting. I don't know, I'm new at this :)

As you may know, I bought a Wacom Cintiq 16 graphics tablet a few days ago and after one day of testing and having fun, I started to draw my first art piece. Let's call it like that until we find out is it a graphic drawing or painting. Or maybe that's the same thing. Oh my, oh my... I got a lot to learn. :P

Anyway...

I decided to create anything that will include the Hive logo because I believe I will be doing something in the near future so I wanted to test it out and practice along the way. As we are in our crypto space, I decided to add Rick and Morty and make one funny art piece.

At first, these were all the ideas I had. As I was drawing and painting, the ideas were just popping in my mind and this is what I came up with:

Look Morty, HIVE will get us to the moon!

I did everything in Adobe Illustrator with my graphics tablet and a bit of mouse to fix some errors. It took me around 4-5 days and 8+ hours a day, but time flies when I'm drawing so it felt like I did it in 2 days. That's probably one of the most amazing things that happen to me when I create something like this. Time literally flies and sometimes you forget to go to sleep and you meet sunrise in the morning. Isn't that cool?

Another great thing about creating this art piece is that I learned a lot. I am now more familiar with the pen I'm using for drawing and also with the mouse when fixing errors and doing other Adobe stuff. I'm lucky that my pen is very responsive to my tablet so getting used to it was unbelievably easy. Also, I had big luck because my sister is here on summer vacation and she helps me a lot with Adobe Illustrator.

What I need to do now is not look at this for a couple of days. That's something I have a problem with when drawing. I cannot figure out is something well-drawn because I never have drawn something exactly matching what was in my mind. So it's hard to look at it and put it back in my mind. It's hard to explain but I believe anyone who draws or paints is familiar with this feeling. Especially those who are not great at this, like me. :)

With this said, I hope you will like this. It's my first graphics art piece so be easy on me ;)

I'm so happy when I look at what the future brings and cannot wait to start creating something new. I got some ideas but I won't reveal them yet.
