What's up otaku(s)~!?
I'm really sorry for the delay... but don't worry! I'll continue with my Major Series review and in this post, I'm going to talk about the third series. If you want to check my post regarding the first two series, feel free to check them out below.

The Story So Far... ^^

Season 2 ended with Goro, together with Toshi and the second string of Kaido, defeating the members of the first string. And just as he said, he left Kaido to go to another school in order to go against Kaido in High School Baseball's biggest stage, KOSHIEN. I honestly felt bad for Toshi, but it was indeed interesting to see them compete against each other. :) Now, let's get started with Major Season 3~!!!

  • The Story

I personally consider this season as one of my favorites mainly because I enjoyed the flow of the story. I know it's just a continuation of Gorou's journey, but I have some reasons for this.

Well, we have witnessed how Gorou struggled, failed and thrived in the past two seasons. However, season three is like one of the anticipated battles he's going to face. It's his last year to play baseball as a student, so it's really something to look forward to.

He literally started from scratch all over again. Building his own team in a new school... even building their own baseball ground. It was like Little League all over again. And it's just too pure to see him and his new found team... or shall I say friends or even family beat the odds together.

  • The Characters

Fighting alongside his newfound teammates and playing against his former teammates... how would you imagine these characters develop?

I keep on saying this on my posts, but I really love character development very much and I have seen a lot in this anime, especially in this season.

Take for example, Kumori (the catcher you see above). He used to be Gorou's catcher in Little League as well as in middle school. He has always been a great friend and battery partner. He's so innocent and pure, however, when his team faced Gorou's team, he showed a different side to him. Though overly heedful at first, he became more aggressive and strong-willed.

I also like his new team. I like how different personalities clash with each other until they found their rhythm. They also influenced Gorou to become a better person. At first, Gorou was somehow blinded by his goals that he became a bit self-centered, but meeting these people, he changed. He became more empathetic. But of course, the way he influence everyone in the field is still the best!

  • The Art Style

Honestly, the art style didn't change that much in this season, but I noticed the animation became much cleaner. Also, minor details have improved in a way that it's becoming noticeable. I don't really know how to explain it, but I like the slight changes I've observed.

  • The Soundtrack

Welp~!!! MAJOR series soundtrack never fails. Listening to this opening song makes you feel giddy and alive. Ahh~ I want to dance! lol Anyway, the first ending song is also to my liking. It's called Strike Party!!! by BeForU and it's also very cute and upbeat, so it's enjoyable to listen to. It has a "shoujo anime" vibe to it... but it's just me. haha

All in all, it was entertaining and was like a roller coaster ride. You can drown yourself with all the worry and pain, but at the same time, you can bask yourself in excitement. And one more thing, slight romance involving our baseball-freak main character has started to blossom, so it's a breath of fresh air from everything that's happening!

So far, it's the climax of his baseball life as a student... and more things are about to unfold, so look forward to reading my review for season four next time. I'll end this post here. It's almost 4AM and I have to sleep. haha

JAA NE~~~!!! (^_^)/
