Recommendation Blue Exorcist: He will defeat his father, the king of demons. [Eng/Esp]
Hello, anime lovers!
I hope you are all doing well. Today I bring you a recommendation for an anime that is basically the type of supernatural action anime that existed before the incredible Jujutsu Kaisen, which I personally love. This anime, with its slightly dark aesthetic that combines humor, supernatural action, and drama, is called Blue Exorcists, which has five seasons, the fifth of which premiered earlier this year.

The anime introduces us to the existence of two worlds: the earthly plane, where humans reside, called Assiah, and hell, where demons reside, called Gehenna. Although both worlds coexist, beings from one cannot cross over to the other plane; even so, lesser demons have managed to sneak into the human world through the material world, through vulnerable objects or people. However, powerful demons cannot remain in a human body for long because they cannot contain their power, causing the host, if human, to bleed to death.
In Assiah, we are introduced to the protagonist, Rin Okumura, a cheerful and brave young man who, due to his unusual behavior and constant loss of control over his emotions, is labeled a delinquent. Rin has a younger twin brother, Yukio, who, unlike Rin, is outstanding and accepted by most. Despite being different in both attitude and appearance, the two brothers have a good relationship. They were both raised in a monastery by the priest Shiro Fujimoto, who acted as a father figure to both children.

With a childhood marked by ridicule and contempt from others, Rin is insecure and only wants to make his father and brother proud, who only seek to protect him and help him live a normal life and finally get a job.
What Rin did not know was that the priests of the monastery are exorcists who fight demons and prevent the two worlds from merging through a gate. Thus, Rin lives in ignorance of the existence of demons. Until Rin is attacked by the demon Astaroth, who possesses the body of a boy. Astaroth tells Rin that he has been looking for him and confesses that he is the son of Satan, the king of demons. Astaroth's plan to take Rin to Gehenna is thwarted by Rin's father, who exorcises him by quoting the word of God.

It is at that moment that Shiro confesses that Rin is indeed the son of Satan, but Yukio does not, despite being twin brothers. Soon, the monastery where Rin, Shiro, and the other priests were staying is rammed by a cargo truck driven by Astaroth to take Rin away. Although the priests fight back, invoking spiritual guardians, using the engravings on their bodies, and invoking the word of God, they lose. Shiro gives Rin a sword that contains Rin's demonic powers, which he must never unsheathe because he will lose his humanity.
But in a moment of weakness, the king of demons, Rin's biological father, possesses Shiro's body and opens the gates of hell. With no other choice, Rin draws the sword and manages to close the gate, for now.
But Shiro, whom Rin considers his true father, sacrifices himself by committing suicide, and from then on, Rin vows to destroy Satan.

In this crusade, Rin ends up studying at the prestigious True Cross Academy, which is more than just an academy; it is the operational headquarters of priests and aspiring priests to fight against demonic forces and the place where his brother Yukio teaches.
Rin soon embarks on a struggle involving rituals, possessions, dimensions, and the fate of humanity. He will face betrayal and deception as he fights to prove that he is more human than demon and stronger than his infernal heritage to the exorcists who will not hesitate to kill him, including his own brother.
Now, the story is very good and has several peak moments, as well as some disappointing ones, but that is a matter of personal perception. Rin is a very good character, funny and kind but brave and daring, and it is in his desire for revenge that he finds a purpose, while growing as a person. Something to note is that, in the first season, halfway through the story, the anime deviated from the manga, with a non-canonical ending, but in the next season they fixed it.

Throughout the seasons, the animation has been refined, as have the story and characters. It's good and entertaining, with a focus on forgiveness and redemption, as well as hatred and the loss of one's principles.
If you've made it this far, I hope you liked the recommendation and that you'll be encouraged to watch this great story!

¡Hola, quienes disfrutan viendo anime!
