Feliz inicio de semana, espero se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy, en este nuevo post les hablaré un poco como siempre de mi proceso con esta pintura que fue muy muy especial y de la cual estoy muy orgullosa y feliz de haber realizado no solo por el resultado sino por todo el tiempo que disfrute realizándola, reviviendo algunos capítulos de la increíble serie The Walking Dead decidí recrear ésta increíble escena que impacto a todos los espectadores. Hello to all my creative readers! Happy start of the week, I hope you are doing well today, in this new post I will tell you a little as always about my process with this painting that was very very special and of which I am very proud and happy to have done not only for the result but for all the time I enjoyed doing it, reliving some chapters of the incredible series The Walking Dead I decided to recreate this incredible scene that impacted all viewers. Materiales/Materials

Lo que utilice para realizar el dibujo en tradicional en una hoja tipo cartulina tamaño 35 x 28 cm, un lápiz de grafito 2 HB y un borrador (corté mi borrador haciendo que las esquinas quedarán en punta así será más fácil borrar espacios pequeños), mis pinturas témperas, mis acuarelas y corrector líquido blanco.

What I used to make the drawing in traditional on a cardboard type sheet size 35 x 28 cm, a graphite pencil 2 HB and an eraser (I cut my eraser making the corners to be pointed so it will be easier to erase small spaces), my temperas painting, my watercolors and a white liquid corrector.

✨Paso a paso/ Step by Step✨

Para comenzar a hacerlo busque una serie de ideas ya que desde hace un tiempo quería hacer un dibujo de ésta serie así que después de ver muchas imágenes de grandes escenas decidí recrear ésta. Para el boceto utilice una imagen de referencia y mi lápiz y borrador, al tener el boceto listo comencé a usar mis acuarelas las cuales serían la base para luego poder pintar con mis pinturas témperas. Use y mezcle varios tonos bases para poder obtener colores oscuros y con tonalidades marrones para poder lograr llegar al color de la imagen. Poco a poco iba agarrando forma y las capas las iba colocando más gruesas (con menos agua) a medida que se secaban para que se fueran viendo aún más las tonalidades y los colores.

To start doing it I looked for a series of ideas since I had wanted to make a drawing of this series for some time, so after seeing many images of great scenes I decided to recreate this one. For the sketch I used a reference image and my pencil and eraser, when I had the sketch ready I started to use my watercolors which would be the base to paint with my tempera paints. I used and mixed several base tones to obtain dark colors and brown tones to achieve the color of the image. Little by little it was taking shape and the layers I was placing them thicker (with less water) as they dried so that the shades and colors could be seen even more.

Cuando estuve satisfecha con las capas de color de las acuarelas comencé a usar mis pinturas témperas a las cuales les agregaba un poco de agua para que pudiera arrastrar el color fácilmente. Agregué más sombras mezclando colores primarios y así pude ir construyendo poco a poco tonalidades como las del sombrero o las del fondo, para la sangre del ojo fue bastante fácil conseguir los tonos, mezclaba rojo con naranja para la primera capa y luego poco a poco la iba oscureciendo, luego agregaba el tono rojo fuerte y así hice que se viera más rojo y no tan seco. Para el brillo del fondo use pintura blanca y le agregué un poco de agua para poder mezclarla con los tonos ya agregados anteriormente y iba poco a poco creando una especie de degradado.

When I was satisfied with the color layers of the watercolors I started to use my tempera paints to which I added a little water so that I could drag the color easily. I added more shades by mixing primary colors and so I could build up little by little shades like the hat or the background, for the blood in the eye it was quite easy to get the tones, I mixed red with orange for the first layer and then little by little I darkened it, then I added the strong red tone and so I made it look more red and not so dry. For the brightness of the background I used white paint and added a little water to mix it with the previously added tones and little by little I was creating a kind of gradient.

Así se ve el resultado de esta pintura, con pintura blanca fui agregando brillos y detalles y con la pintura negra y un pincel de punta delgada construí los cabellos sueltos en su rostro, agregué un poco más de sombras y luces alrededor tanto en Carl como en el fondo, igualmente con la pintura blanca hice algunos detalles en la tela que cargaba encima para detallar que esa tela estaba cubierta de sangre. Ésta escena fue totalmente increíble al igual que impactante, fue una escena que sin duda no olvidaré y me siento muy feliz por haberla dibujado por el increíble resultado que obtuve, fueron unas cuantas horas de trabajo pero el resultado valió totalmente la pena. ❤️✨

This is how the result of this painting looks like, with white paint I was adding shines and details and with black paint and a thin tip brush I built the loose hair on his face, I added a little more shadows and lights around both Carl and the background, also with the white paint I made some details on the cloth that was carrying on top to detail that the cloth was covered with blood. This scene was totally incredible as well as shocking, it was a scene that I will certainly not forget and I feel very happy for having drawn it because of the incredible result I got, it was a few hours of work but the result was totally worth it. ❤️✨
