What was the .point?

I'm going to .point something out to you although I know there are people who may think: "Didn't even notice that you or your art existed", and that something that I have to say out loud is:

I do not mean to spam. I have no ulterior motive when I tokenize the art that I already did once mint in NFT Showroom. Yes. The exact same art. I have an explanation to that.

I had a fixation, an obsession about something.

The first six pieces that I tokenized did not have an unlockable file.

An unlockable file that has the art in a larger file size so that there's something extra the buyer gets when they buy my art. The first six pieces were just full jpg or gif files without an unlockable file. And that bugged me as soon as I realized what I should have done, but failed to do.

I didn't find an option to change the already minted piece to a smaller one and then add the large file as an unlockable file. Just adding an unlockable file would have not had any .point in it. It would have been the same file. So that's a no-no.

Thought that changing things since no-one had bought any of the copies would have been possible, but it isn't. Or I didn't find a way to do that.

So I ended up canceling the sale of six pieces and their copies. All had 5 copies. Minting costs 60 SWAP.HIVE.

Burned 60 SWAP.HIVE.

Small amount for some but at this time not for me.

Burned 60 SWAP.HIVE.

Because I didn't realize the possibilities of the unlockable file before I tokenized six pieces.

Because I'm an idiot.

That's the .point.

Said: "Burn, baby burn!"

Burning has never been this easy.

I wish one of those works would have had a bridge in it.

Oh, the amount of jokes that I would have derived from that.
One. Only one. Sad but true. One.

I will be adding those six pieces (or now only five left) back to NFT Showroom and I promise, even though I don't manage to spend all my HIVE to art made by other artists, I will not spam the place and mint them all in one day. Or in two days. I will promise to forget that NFT Showroom even exists for few days and when I come back, will not mint too often. Because I also have art that I have not yet minted before. New art.

But let's get back to the .point. It's origins are here. February 2020 I started making kaleidoscopish mandalas and when I few weeks ago realized that there's a place called NFT Showroom and it's potentials, I thought that my mandalopish kaleidoscopes would be perfect as gif animations.

So here's the .point! Minted it again. https://nftshowroom.com/insaneworks/gallery/insaneworks_mandalope_point

Because I'm an idiot.

In the future I try to be less of an an idiot, more insane.

That being said burning art because of insaneness is okay, but if it's because of idiocy, I should be spanked.

Thanks for the information! I would have made the same mistake had you not written about this.

This is helpful to know, as I might put some pieces on NFT Showroom some day! Thanks! I like your animation! It is really intriguing and awesome! Great job! 😃

Thanks!

It's there, clearly said in NFT Showroom too, and I did read it then and did understand it too, but what I originally failed to understand that all but the unlockable really are for anyone to get, if they choose to do so. And that started to bother me after a while.
