Follow-up on the Cryptovoxels Virtual gallery tour with Hivemuse Collective; A great gateway for getting Crypto artists on Hive and turning Hive artists into Crypto artists!

Yesterday I wrote about the cryptovoxels gallery hop put on by the Hivemuse collective and I'd like to give a little recap of the tour.

This was the list of galleries that were on the menu and if you go to http://hivemuse.com/ and click Hivemuse launch and gallery hop event it will pop open and clicking each gallery will teleport you there:

At the start there were about 50ish people maybe a bit more, there was audio in the discord, hosted by Paradoxx.

I attempted to live tweet some of the destinations during the event (while my computer was behaving :p) Here are some of the gallery images I captured:

It was amazing seeing all these creative builds and honestly really inspiring! The buildings and designs themselves are works of art!

Alien Honey gallery

And of course last but not least, ALIEN HONEY gallery! I slid in last minute as I just heard they were still accepting galleries the day before hehe. By the end of the tour quite a few people had dropped off, I would say about half?

It's understandable because the whole event was a little over three hours! I salute the champions who made it all the way through :D

It was really fun watching people explore the gallery and hearing the feedback and I got some very nice comments; both about my build design and also about my art and music :)

Even Satoshi Nakamoto was there 😂

So fun to see all these robots and squids etc flying all around :D

All in all it was quite an interesting and positive experience!

I really think we have a big opportunity right now to create a bridge between these communities. Many crypto artists could benefit by having a longer form way to blog/ share knowlege and support on Hive, and many of our amazing Hive artists could be tokenizing and monetizing their art in different ways. We have such a vast power in this decentralized technology to create and support vibrant communities.

I have created a portal with links to hiveonboard.com and also to this community. I think this is fun way for people to stumble the hive community and I hope to be bringing some more artists in this way!

Alien Art Hive contest for a pop-up show?

We have been floating around some ideas for holding contests in the community and the winner would get a pop-up gallery in cryptovoxels, I'd love to hear the communities thoughts on this. Would you be interested in participating? Learning more about creating NFTs? Showing you work in a virtual gallery? If so please reply in the comments :)

This exhibit will be staying up until we plan the next one so you can have a browse around at this URL: http://alienhoney.art/

I saw Satoshi too, lol! The gallery is looking really great, i explored a lot within but messed up with the tour and did not see the rest. From the screenshots and videos i was amazed by some of the constructions and got myself thinking of trying to do sth, lol.

There is a lot of innovation with the art space and a very lively community.Your idea with the pop up gallery contest is really cool:)

This is fantastic. I love when different tribes/systems/blockchains/cultures (whatever you want to call them) mix and mingle and cross-over into one another. I've always preferred cooperation to competition. DIGITAL UNITY!!!

Great work!

Hey!!! The idea of a virtual gallery with NFTs sounds great :) I even was working on one but I haven't been able to add more details :( it is very basic check it here. I hope I can do more for it, do you think something like that can be hosted at cryptovoxels? I still don't get it 😂

(Edited)

Yes that would work in cryptovoxels definitely, I suggest exploring around and seeing whats possible, we are here: alienhoney.art but you can fly around and visit lots of other galleries or use the list I linked in the post to visit and have some inspiration.

I'm looking at the gallery you linked, did you make that on the website or somewhere else and import it?

Oh it looks like it was a wonderful event. And it's a great project providing a bridge between the platforms.

Yes. I love the idea of contests. Between my work, creating art, surviving current affairs....writing and posting some stuff, I find it difficult to engage much but it would be real fun to see such contests around even as an observer.
