I'm a big believer in decentralization and when I saw Choon I was super excited. Choon was a centralized/decentralized mix that promised to pay artists in NOTES (their own currency) every time their music was streamed! At the time I was pretty adamant that I wanted to keep as much of my content off centralized social media and streaming platforms so I could support some hopefully disruptive technology.
Well Choon failed. Probably at no fault of their own, the long bear market was tough on many start ups and in the end they couldn't keep going.
Since then I haven't had my music streaming anywhere other then @jukeblox (MSP-Waves Broadcast channel in the PAL server) which made it difficult to link or share with people.
I finally decided to do the thing and get on Spotify.
To do this I used a service called distrokid. You pay around 20$ a year and you can add your music to spotify and a whole host of other music streaming services, yay!
I have two albums currently, Psychic Transmissions:
I started with my oldest first and am adding progressively newer albums.
I have about two more to go and a few single that don't really fit in with anything else.
