Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I'm back to practice again, but this time in digital drawing with this art series called: "Practicing and improving in digital drawing". About three years ago I started a series in my blog, where I shared my practices in drawing, that to help me to speed up my hand and improve in drawing. So as I'm just starting to get started in digital drawing, what better way than to share all those practices I do in digital in my blog, as I did once with the traditional, so I can keep a vision or record of all my process to improve in this new world.

Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Retomo nuevamente las practicas, pero esta vez en dibujo digital con esta serie de arte llamada: "Practicando y mejorando en el dibujo digital". Hace unos tres años atrás comencé una serie en mi blog, en donde compartía mis practicas en el dibujo, eso para ayudarme a agilizar la mano y mejorar en el dibujo. Así que como a penas estoy comenzando a iniciarme al dibujo digital, que mejor forma que compartir todas aquellas practicas que haga en digital en mi blog, como lo hice alguna vez con el tradicional, así puedo llevar una visión o registro de todo mi proceso para mejorar en este nuevo mundo.

Recently I was talking with a good artist friend, where I was telling him that I wanted to start a series of art on my blog where I practiced faces and portraits, but the truth seemed a little poor, because I already know enough about drawing faces, I decided to create this series of art and practice everything that comes to mind, sketches in black and white, color and others, all this to improve in digital drawing and in turn have a record of everything that is improving, exploring and acquiring this world.

Hace poco estuve hablando con un buen amigo artista, donde le decía que quería comenzar una serie de arte en mi blog en donde practicaba rostros y retratos, pero la verdad me pareció un poco pobre, porque ya se lo suficiente en cuanto a dibujar rostros, mejor me decidí en crear esta serie de arte y practicar todo lo que se me venga a la mente, bocetos en blanco y negro, color y demás, todo esto para ir mejorando en el dibujo digital y a su vez tener un registro de todo lo que vaya mejorando, explorando y adquiriendo de este mundo.

I wanted to make a sketch of a face I had in mind, so I took my tablet and started sketching. As many of you know or if you are one of my first followers, I used to draw faces in my own style, that is to say; I chose a reference photo but I added and changed many things that I personally like to see in drawings, like eyes without pupils, horns and other things, it is part of my style, but with time I have left it aside and I want to rescue it again to be honest with you.

Quise hacer un boceto de un rostro que tenia en mente, así que tome mi tableta y comencé a hacer el boceto. Como muchos sabrán o si son de mis primeros seguidores, yo antes dibujaba rostros muy a mi estilo, es decir; yo escogía una foto de referencia pero le agregaba y cambiaba muchas cosas que a mi en lo personal me gusta ver en dibujos, como ojos sin pupilas, cuernos y demás cosas, es parte de mi estilo la verdad, pero que con el tiempo lo he dejado de lado y quiero rescatar de nuevo para serles sincero.

I started making the sketch, using the tools of Krita, which is the program I use to draw in digital. Then I add a new layer to clean up the first sketch and so I get the line art at once and then I start adding color to the drawing, for this one I use grayscale, because I love it too much. I work in different layers for each thing, so it's much easier to work and I don't complicate so much.

Comencé haciendo el boceto, ayudándome de las herramientas de Krita, el cual es el programa que uso para dibujar en digital. Luego agrego una nueva capa para limpiar el primer boceto y así quedarme con el line art de una vez y paso seguidamente a hacer o agregar color en el dibujo, para este use escala de grises, ya que me encanta demasiado. Todo lo voy trabajando en capas diferentes para cada cosa, así se me hace mucho mas fácil trabajar y no me complico tanto.

Finally I give it some final details and I polish some things in the illustration so that everything looks good and that's it, it would be finished. I must tell you that about two weeks ago when I did a practice like this, it took me much more time to finish it and it wasn't as nice as this illustration, practices make the change guys, practice a lot and you will see how much you can improve in the drawing.

Por ultimo le doy algunos detalles finales y pulo algunas cosas en la ilustración para que todo se vea bien y listo, ya estaría terminada. Debo decirles que hace unas dos semanas atrás cuando hice una practica como esta, me llevo mucho mas tiempo terminarla y no quedo tan bonita como esta ilustración, las practicas hacen el cambio chicos, practiquen mucho y verán todo lo que pueden mejorar en el dibujo.
