ISIS affiliated website collects donations in XMR
A website for the jihadist movement ISIS started a campaign to adopt donations in the Monero crypto currency. Since they previously received donations in Bitcoin a change that will certainly make a splash.
The Terrorist Organization that is known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), has successfully migrated to the crypto monero.
As reported by the blockchain intelligence company Whitestream and confirmed by numerous websites. It has been proven that the jihadist website has migrated since the 21st of this month to start accepting donations only on Monero.
According to them, this migration is due to the fact that Monero is a much more secure crypto currency and very difficult to track. And they explain at once how to send the donations by placing the XMR address.
This website has been on everyone's lips for some time now, as there is speculation that their funds were reaching the sum of more than 300 million Bitcoin as a way of funding.
Since 2007, the jihadist site has been accepting donations at BTC, and it did so from one address, where it now contains 0.295 BTC, which is equivalent to 2,700 USD.
This type of information creates a bad concept about cryptos, since it is estimated that they are used to finance terrorism. But the Chainalysis analysis page, this is not the favorite method for terrorists.
