Day 1189 : 5 Minute Freewrite Prompt : My reflection in the glass.
I looked at her and she looked at me.
We stared at each other for a long time.
I smiled yet she did not smile back.
“Why don’t you smile back at me???”, I asked.
“Cause I’m not Happy.” She replied.
“Why so??? You are so pretty and smart. You have a good life and all wonderful things surrounding you. Your family loves and cares about you and you have nothing to lose”, I ask.
“Yes that’s all true ... but for some reason I feel down and blue”, She answered.
I raised an eyebrow. She was such a drama queen.
“Yeah Yeah Sure...You and Your Drama are so top notch. You have everything yet you act so pitiful and dull. All I asked is a smile. Just curl your lips and widen your eyes. It’s not so hard after all. Why do you always go against me???”
“I don’t go against you. Also it is very difficult to smile with all the pain and sorrow hidden deep inside. Still I am amazed at how you managed to smile as though everything in the world is all going fine”, She replied.
“What do you mean??? That I have hidden pain and sorrow??? That I fake smiles??? You know nothing about me!!!” , I yelled at her
“I know nothing about you ... Now that’s a joke I would really smile at.”, smirked my reflection in the glass.

I believe that we can’t hide our feelings from our reflections. How much ever we pretend to portray a feeling, one would always know the true intentions of such person on seeing himself or herself in a mirror.
This is the thought I want to portray in this Freewrite.
