Dead battery! 5 minute Freewrite
Dead battery
In our houses the electric energy we consume is of the type called alternating current, which normally generates many kilometres from where we live or work.
Despite the benefits of alternating current, we must resort to another type of electrical energy called direct current. This is used to activate our vehicles, operate the television remote control, enjoy our cell phones.
Direct current is generated in devices called batteries, which come pre-charged, or must be recharged from time to time in order to obtain direct current energy from them.
A dead battery depending on where it is being used causes many inconveniences:
- The cell phone does not work.
- We cannot change the television channels.
- We can't start our vehicle.
- ...
So life as we know it, is stopped by a friendly battery that is now dead,

Your description looks like something called an inverter. It's used here when the electricity goes out.
Depending on how much energy it can carry.
