Worst Than Pests | ZAPFIC MONDAY Week 33 | (6/13/22) - Prompt: bug

I'm back again participating in the ZAPFIC 240-character challenge. This week's prompt "bug", brought out a story that just irritates me. Some people think that it's alright and see nothing wrong with bothering others. The situation can range from borrowing belongings or repeatedly asking to use someone else's services. I call it "being cheap" and inconveniencing others. You have to set boundaries and know when to draw the line. However, some people avoid conflict and continue to suffer in silence. That's the direction my story took.

@felt.buzz changed up the challenge a bit to create a new format: ZAPFIC Monday. The rules are below if you'd like to participate.

As previously done, I leave here my wordcounter screenshot showing the exact word count for my microfiction story:

8 pm. The doorbell upset Daryl as he watched his favorite episode.

Instinctively, he turned the volume down and eased toward the peekhole.

Identifying the visitor, he backed away, furious his friend wouldn't subscribe to the satellite sports.
