Christmas Magic Night

When I saw Mom for the last time in the hospital, Dad said that she was going to become a star and that's why I couldn't see her anymore.

I miss her a lot. I don't really understand why she had to become a star. Why couldn't her just stay with me as we always did?

I also miss my dad. After mom became a star, he started to arrive home very late and leave very early. He said that he has to work more now so we can have money to buy food and pay for our house.

I never stayed at home alone before, but he says that I'm a big boy now and that I have to help him so we can stay together. I'm now usually spending the nights tidying up my room and cleaning the living room, while I wait for him to arrive.

Today is Christmas. Dad said that Santa Claus wasn't able to bring me a new toy this year. Dad was really sad when he told me this, but I said to him that I already have lots of toys that I enjoy, so I don't need more toys. He cried, and I didn't understand why.

What I really, really wanted this Christmas is that my Dad arrived early at home so we can have dinner and watch cartoons together. But I didn't tell him this, because I don't want to bother him. He's very tired.

I looked upon the moon and wished to Santa Claus that Dad was here with me.

I hear the garage door opening.
