Day 1851: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: hit the trail

Copy of Freewrite.png

Just a Fyi. We have Covid in the house and while I am feeling not as bad as my husband did, my sleep patterns are way off and the post might come at different times of the day... Like this morning. I finally fell asleep at 5 am 🤪

Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

  • I found this app through @emwalker. Use it regularly and it will help you type faster and more accurately. [10 fast fingers](https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english

I have a favor to ask. If you are on YouTube, can you please subscribe to my Sustainable Living Podcast channel. I am not asking you to watch, just to subscribe. I want to be able to do live Yoga classes and need more subscribers before I can access that function. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA73SuaMBnBIaB5OdiL_y6Q

Get well soon ... ginger, turmeric, garlic, other natural anti-inflammatories help ...

Meanwhile in the Lofton County Universe, four veterans talk about the upcoming (to them) 2020 election ... https://peakd.com/@deeanndmathews/day-1851-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-hit-the-trail

Thank you so much. I have been powering ginger tea, lots of vitamins and such. I am definitely not as sick as my husband was, but it is holding on a bit more than I want to admit. I really have to stop myself from not overdoing when I feel better...
Hope that all is well with you and yours ❤️

Heads up ... the body demands its respect after defeating the big C ... my parents it let go of swiftly, but me it hung on with ... the difference might have been that they are retired and could rest much more and were already of that mind. Me? I never missed a day here and only two weeks anywhere else ... and was not fully recovered for FOUR MONTHS. You are on the right track in stopping yourself from overdoing... the more you rest and power natural anti-inflammatories through, the sooner your body will recover. Also, consider adding some extra virgin OREGANO oil to your life, a drop of two under the tongue per day to shut down the leftover congestion ... the brand I use is North American Herb and Spice.

Marianne, I'm so sorry to hear you've been under the weather with THAT stuff.. when will it end?? In July, a cousin messaged everyone the day after a big family reunion to say she had tested positive for Covid and it felt like a thousand knives stabbing her throat. She was vaccinated and boosted before getting sick. Several of my own family members were sick after that day, with symptoms of a cold or influenza, but none got tested for Covid.
Now the mask mandates may be back. Adults are getting sick with RSV. Schools are closing due to the number of kids home sick.
Glad you're on the mend now and let me know if I can help with Freewrite busy-work!

I don't think it will change. We will have Covid with us forever - just like the flu. Maybe now people realize that the best we can do is to work on our overall health.
While it was no fun to have this, I still feel we got lucky and weren't as sick as some people have gotten with this.
Wishing you health and happiness :)

Thank you so much! The way I figure is that we did good by avoiding the more nasty varieties that went around the past 2.5 years and that we probably have to get used to a new variant every year...
Hoepfully they get less and less severe with time...

I'm glad you're having an easier time of it. I know I got very ill when I got it last year in February.

me too. It is hanging on and I am definitely slow and congested and all of that. But it was really only one day when I couldn't get out of bed at all. Maybe it is an adjustment of expectation. Since I know so many that were terribly sick for weeks, I feel grateful that it is not so bad for me...

I've been trying to do it for a long time, but I can't do it, it's very hard for me.

Because it is something really unpredictable, my routine includes sitting on the wooden chair, which is already creaking from being old and worn, putting my arms on the table, taking my pipe out of my pocket, filling it with a little fresh sting, the kind that you buy in the Arab market, with the arrival of a new shipment every Tuesday at 5 in the afternoon, light the lighter and light the pipe.

This is the beginning of the ritual, once I kick the pipe 2 or 3 times, my gaze is fixed on hit the trail of the ants that leave the garden where the plants are, under the door, to the outskirts , on the back of the apple tree, where they have their anthill. I see them always carrying the leaves, all in single file, with their load straight to their house, and I think of all the fathers and mothers of families who do the same thing every day, bringing food home, to satisfy the hunger of their children. pups.

Cheers, I hope you like it @mariannewest
