The brightness ahead!!!

Alas! The once appealing has become appalling
The celebrated has become the rejected
Friends that dined have become those that denied
A path once full of merry has become a memory of pains
The living left for the non living to be my companion
My lamentations echoed back my solitude
Those I trusted in freely gave their trust to another

Life's journey began solely and would end same
But through it, I longed for the comfort of those I loved
The equilibrium of life is unjust, fairness was a fairytale to wish
Darkness lurked the walls around me, light seemed a mirage
My steps were forward, never to be drowned in the waters of regrets
The claws of pain eagerly awaits my defeat, a laughter to scorn pleasantly prepared
Luminescence beckoned to me, hope gave wings to my feet for flight

That which lay ahead was enough to drown the troubles of the past
A recompense for the many sorrows that befell me
Darkness faded into oblivion as my hands grasped illumination
Loneliness and grief reluctantly withdrew their grip of my loins
Nay, not even a farewell would I bid my past days of sorrow
A bold leap to liberty, a hope revived, a lesson well learnt
Today's the gift of hope for tomorrow's brightness
