Snacks for My House Workers: Serving Their Favorite Kakanin While Building Our Dream Home

Hello everyone!

Building our house is one of the most stressful things I have experienced, but at the same time, it is also one of the most exciting and rewarding journeys for me.

Every day, there is something to think about materials, expenses, workers, and the progress of the construction. Sometimes, I feel tired everyday and worried, but when I see another part of our house slowly being finished, I feel happy and thankful.

Slowly but surely, we are getting there.

One thing I learned while building our house is that snacks and meals are very important for the workers. They work hard every day, sometimes under the hot sun, so I always try to prepare something for their merienda.

Every day, I think of something different to serve them. Sometimes I prepare bread, bananas, homemade snacks, or kakanin, which is very common and loved here in our place.

And of course, coffee is always a favorite!

Even when the weather is super hot, they still prefer coffee instead of soft drinks. I sometimes laugh when I see them drinking hot coffee while working under the sun. But I think coffee is part of their daily routine.

Honestly, I could just buy bread or ready-made snacks for them. It would be easier, especially when I am already busy with other things at home. But whenever I have time, I choose to cook for them.

Even if it is just something simple, I am happy to prepare it.

For me, sharing food is my little way of saying thank you for their hard work.

I feel happy when I see them enjoying the snacks I prepared. It may be a small thing, but it gives me a good feeling knowing that I can make their busy and tiring day a little better.

While preparing their snacks, I also get to see the progress of our house every day.

A little by little, another wall is finished. Another part is slowly taking shape. The house may not be finished yet, but when I look at it now, I can already see how far we have come.

Slowly, but we are already far from where we started.

This journey is stressful, but it is also teaching me patience, gratitude, and appreciation for every small progress.

I am thankful for every day, every worker, every little improvement, and every blessing that helps us continue building our dream.

For now, I will continue cooking simple snacks, serving coffee-loving workers, and enjoying every little moment of this house-building journey.

One day, all these stressful days will become beautiful memories.
