Body language changing perception related to what we hear

A research made at Max Planck Institute of Psycholinguistics discovered that how and when we move our hands can modify the way our brain hear the words spoken. So, really, you may learn Italian, but you will not know Italian, until you learn the right moves, right?

But the experiment was in Dutch. Anyway, we got different groups tested, using the same sound, but the gestures acompanying where either right on cue, random or delayed. Each time the subjects ears were hearing a different thing, even if the words were the same. This completelly changed the meaning of the conversation.

So, next time when you have something important to say, remember this, and do it face to face instead of using email or text. Your chances of success will increase exponentially, matter not if it is for bussiness or love. Networking? Bring it on!
