Excursion at Sunset in Forcelletto, Mount Grappa - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hello everyone! Last Thursday I took part in a beautiful excursion on Monte Grappa in the Forcelletto area.

Ciao a tutti! Giovedì scorso ho partecipato ad una bellissima escursione sul Monte Grappa in località Forcelletto.

I had never been there, it is located on the north side of the mountain range.

Non ci ero mai stato, si trova sul versante nord del gruppo montuoso.

The excursion began at sunset and then returned to the dark at 11 in the dark, a great adventure!

L'escursione iniziava al tramonto per poi rintrare al buoi verso le 11 al buio, una bella avventura!

Here's a string barometer!
If the rope is wet, it rains, if it is dry, it is good weather, if the rope is stiff, it is cold, if the rope is invisible, there is fog or you need to drink less: D.
Rope moved, there is wind.
Without rope, they stole it! ;)

Ecco un barometro a corda!
Se la corda è bagnata, piove, se è asciutta, è bel tempo, se la corda è rigida, fa freddo, se la corda è invisibile, c'è nebbia o bisogna bere meno :D.
Corda mossa, c'è vento.
Senza corda, l'hanno rubata! ;)

As we waited for all the participants to arrive, the sky clouded over and the sun made beautiful beams of light.

I decided to process the shots to emphasize that light effect...what do you think?

Mentre aspettavamo che tutti i partecipanti arrivassero, il cielo si è annuvolato e il sole ha fatto dei bellissimi fasci di luce.

Ho deciso di elaborare gli scatti per enfatizzare quell'effetto di luce...che ne dite?

Then we left, there were about twenty of us.

Poi siamo partiti, eravamo circa in venti.

After a steep climb we reached the top and in front of us was a very large flat area.

The guide explained that during the First World War there was an American military base there which was later dismantled.

Dopo una ripida salita siamo giunti sulla sommita e dinanzi a noi c'era un'area pianeggiate molto vasta.

La guida ci ha spiegato che durante la prima guerra mondiale lì c'era una base militare americana che successivamente fu smantellata.

I was hoping there would be a beautiful fiery red sunset but the sky was clouding over and I didn't hope for it anymore...

Speravo ci sarebbe stato un bel tramonto rosso fuoco però il cielo si stava annuvolando e non ci speravo più...

We were about 1500 meters above sea level and I did not imagine that I would have photographed a thistle flower...

Eravamo a circa 1500 metri di altitudine e non immaginavo che avrei fotografato un fiore di cardo...

It was just before dusk, how nice to be in the mountains at that time, it's really good.

Mancava poco all'imbrunire, che bello essere in montagna in quell'orario, si sta davvero bene.

Unfortunately I couldn't see the Dolomites, there was little visibility, but it was still beautiful!

Purtroppo non riuscivo a vedere le dolomiti, c'era poca visibilità, però era comunque bellissimo!

Despite the weather not ideal for photos, I enjoyed photographing the shades of the sky, which relaxed me looking at it.

Nonostante il meteo non ideale per le foto, mi sono divertito a fotografare alle sfumature del cielo, che, a guardarlo mi rilassava.

With the lens aperture open at f / 1.4 and high ISO I tried a few more shots, ignoring the looming darkness

Con il diaframma dell'obiettivo aperto a f/1.4 e alti iso ho tentato qualche altro scatto, ignorando il buio che incombeva.

By now it was dark, someone had already turned on the flashlight, I tried a freehand photo with long exposure...

Ormai era buio, qualcuno aveva già acceso la torcia, ho tentato una foto a mano libera con lunga esposizione...

I was the last in line, I turned to look at the moon, how nice, atmosphere.

The moon was so bright that you could walk without using the flashlight.

Ero l'ultimo della fila, mi sono voltato a guardare la luna, che bello , atmosfera.

La luna era talmente luminosa che si poteva camminare senza usare la torcia.

Then it got really dark and I turned on a led panel that I had hooked onto the camera.

Poi è diventato davvero buio e ho acceso un pannello led che avevo agganciato supra la macchina fotografica.

Luckily we noticed in time a toad that was right on our path and we ruined not to step on it.

Per fortuna ci siamo accorti in tempo di un rospo che era proprio sul nostro sentiero e siamo ruisciti a non calpestarlo.

Around 11 p.m. we got to the cars and watching the city lights from up there was beautiful!

Walking at night in the mountains is an experience that I recommend to everyone, however it must be done safely.
If you have the opportunity, do it!

Verso le 11 p.m. siamo arrivati alle auto e guardare da lassù le luci delle città era bellissimo!

Camminare la notte in montagna è un'esperienza che consiglio a tutti, tuttavia va fatto in sicurezza.
