Evening visit in the Caigüire sector (Eng - Esp)

Today, I’m sharing my visit to the Caigüire district, where I explored several plazas, walkways, and a boulevard along Carúpano Avenue. Caigüire is one of the city's largest districts and is notable for landmarks such as Pan de Azúcar Hill, the coastal area, various beaches, and the Santa Ana Church, among others.
As always, I visited with my son. Our plan was to tour the district to see the main avenue and some of the plazas located along that thoroughfare. A friend living in the area recommended the tour; beyond being one of the city's largest districts, Caigüire is considered historically significant to Venezuela's independence era. It was here that General Carlos José Valentín García Mang—known as "Valentín Valiente" (Valiant Valentín) for his strength and gallantry in facing the enemy—formed his platoon. "The Liberator" gave him this nickname because of the speed and bravery he displayed on the battlefield.
We began our tour at the stop near the old Makro store and proceeded along the main avenue. We stopped at the Galería shopping center and then continued toward a commercial establishment in the El Bosque sector. We paused there because, on the avenue's traffic island, there is a beautiful, eye-catching plaza—or boulevard—featuring unique benches, grassy areas, and LED lights housed in colorful cylinders.
I liked this boulevard for its beautiful grounds—featuring grass, palm trees, and other small plants—and its network of walkways. It consists of a rectangular path and a circular base where the planters are located; a concrete walkway runs through the central planter, leading to both sides of the avenue. The ground is mostly covered in grass, and there are trees that provide a cooling effect, along with a beautiful view of the hill and the lovely clouds filling the sky. Upon entering, you encounter circular planters; one of them holds palm trees and the cylinders housing the light bulbs, which are painted in various colors and feature a white star on the back.
Saludos amigo viajeros en todo el mundo, deseo que tengan un feliz y bendecido fin de semana, en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto mi visita al sector Caigüire, donde pude conocer varias plazas, paseos y un bulevar ubicado en la avenida Carupano, el sector caigüire es uno de los más grandes en la ciudad y destaca por la presencia de el Cerro Pan de Azúcar, la zona costera, playas, Iglesia Santa Ana, entre otros.
Mi visita la realicé como siempre, en compañía de mi hijo, el plan era hacer un recorrido en el sector para conocer la avenida principal y algunas plazas, que se ubican en la arteria vial, una amiga que vive en la zona nos recomendó hacer un recorrido por Caigüire, que además de ser uno de los más grandes en la ciudad, es considerado uno de los más importantes durante la época independencia de Venezuela, pues allí formó su pelotón el General Carlos José Valentín Grarcía Mang, conocido como Valentín Valiente, por su fortaleza y gallardía al enfrentar al enemigo, El Libertador le dio este apodo por la rapidez y velentía con las que se movía en el campo de batalla.
Iniciamos nuestro recorrido en la parada del antiguo Makro y desde allí avanzamos por la avenida principal, hicimos una parada en el centro comercial Galería, luego seguimos hacia el establecimiento comercial ubicado en el sector el Bosque, aquí hicimos una parada, pues en la isla de la avenida se encuentra una hermosa y llamativa plaza o bulevar con curiosos bancos grama y luces Led en coloridos cilindros.
Me gustó este bulevar por sus hermosas zonas ajardinadas —con césped, palmeras y otras plantas pequeñas— y su red de senderos. Consta de un camino rectangular y una base circular donde se ubican las jardineras; un sendero de hormigón atraviesa la jardinera central y conecta ambos lados de la avenida. El suelo está cubierto mayoritariamente de césped y hay árboles que refrescan el ambiente, además de ofrecer una hermosa vista de la colina y de las bellas nubes que pueblan el cielo. Al entrar, uno se encuentra con jardineras circulares; una de ellas alberga palmeras y los cilindros que contienen las luminarias, los cuales están pintados de diversos colores y lucen una estrella blanca en la parte posterior.
Moving forward, we get a full view of the boulevard and the planter located at the entrance—which holds a palm tree—along with the cylinders lining the walkway, a central planter featuring a larger palm tree, and a blue one at the far end; this entire concrete structure is bordered by colorful cylinders that both adorn and illuminate the space.
Next, we see the second planter, colored yellow, blue, and red. We also have a view of the wide avenue and the various residential buildings and commercial establishments in the area—a zone that has seen significant economic and population growth in recent years. We then take a closer look at the central planter, decorated with yellow, blue, and red hues and several stars; at its center stands a palm tree, and the planter's base serves as a bench for sitting in the evening.
Cumaná is a tropical region that enjoys sunshine year-round, so visiting this area in the morning or late afternoon is recommended; this allows you to enjoy the cool evening breeze without the harsh glare of the sun. We then observe the far end—the planter with its palm tree and the path leading to the next set of planters and benches. The space is kept very clean; although I had driven along this avenue many times, I had never noticed this boulevard before. Taking advantage of the late afternoon, we sat on the planters for a while and walked around, admiring the details and plants of this interesting boulevard. One plant caught my eye with its lovely yellow flowers. At that time of day, several people were strolling along the boulevard, while others were using its walkways as a route between avenues to get home.
Más adelante, obtenemos una vista completa del bulevar y de la jardinera situada en la entrada —que alberga una palmera—, así como de los cilindros que bordean el camino, una jardinera central con una palmera de mayor tamaño y otra de color azul en el extremo opuesto; toda esta estructura de hormigón está delimitada por cilindros coloridos que adornan e iluminan el espacio a la vez.
A continuación, vemos la segunda jardinera, decorada con los colores amarillo, azul y rojo. También apreciamos la amplia avenida y los diversos edificios residenciales y locales comerciales de la zona, un área que ha experimentado un notable crecimiento económico y demográfico en los últimos años. Luego observamos más de cerca la jardinera central, adornada con tonos amarillos, azules y rojos y varias estrellas; en su centro se alza una palmera, y la base de la jardinera sirve de banco para sentarse al caer la tarde.
Cumaná es una región tropical que goza de sol durante todo el año, por lo que se recomienda visitar esta zona por la mañana o a última hora de la tarde; esto permite disfrutar de la fresca brisa vespertina sin el fuerte resplandor del sol. Después observamos el extremo más alejado: la jardinera con su palmera y el sendero que conduce al siguiente conjunto de jardineras y bancos. El espacio se mantiene muy limpio; aunque había recorrido esta avenida en coche muchas veces, nunca antes me había fijado en este bulevar. Aprovechando el final de la tarde, nos sentamos un rato en las jardineras y paseamos por los alrededores, admirando los detalles y la vegetación de este interesante bulevar. Una planta llamó mi atención por sus hermosas flores amarillas. A esa hora del día, varias personas paseaban por el bulevar, mientras otras utilizaban sus senderos como vía de paso entre avenidas para regresar a casa.
As you walk toward the final planter, you can see lights mounted on the cylinders, as well as the palm tree growing in that planter and other plants in the surrounding area—bougainvilleas that are still small, lilies, more palms, and a beautiful sign bearing the name of the state of Sucre and a message encouraging environmental care. The sign reads "Sucre Loves You" and features a lovely landscape of the sea, mountains, and trees—all evocative of the city. As I mentioned, the ground is covered with grass, and it appears that plants have recently been added—presumably to beautify and freshen up this part of the city.
The final photograph shows the planted walkway and the grassy area. I liked this plaza from the moment I saw it, and it was a lovely walk; we were able to sit and enjoy the breeze. To be honest, given its location in the middle of a busy thoroughfare, I had expected it to feel cramped, but it is actually spacious, with green areas and planters that beautify the space while also serving as seating. After strolling along this boulevard and admiring the plants, we headed to another part of the area to visit a plaza that is partially tucked away among the trees and ornamental plants.
Al caminar hacia la última jardinera, se pueden ver luces instaladas en los cilindros, así como la palmera que crece en ella y otras plantas de los alrededores: bugambilias aún pequeñas, lirios, más palmeras y un hermoso letrero con el nombre del estado de Sucre y un mensaje que fomenta el cuidado del medio ambiente. El letrero dice "Sucre te quiere" y presenta un paisaje encantador de mar, montañas y árboles, elementos todos ellos que evocan la ciudad. Como ya mencioné, el suelo está cubierto de césped y parece que se han añadido plantas recientemente, probablemente para embellecer y renovar esta parte de la ciudad.
La última fotografía muestra el paseo ajardinado y la zona de césped. Esta plaza me gustó desde el primer momento en que la vi; fue un paseo agradable y pudimos sentarnos a disfrutar de la brisa. Para ser sincero, dada su ubicación en medio de una vía muy transitada, esperaba que el lugar se sintiera agobiante, pero en realidad es espacioso, con zonas verdes y jardineras que embellecen el entorno y sirven también de asiento. Tras recorrer este bulevar y admirar la vegetación, nos dirigimos a otra parte de la zona para visitar una plaza que queda parcialmente oculta entre los árboles y las plantas ornamentales.
