Greetings traveler friends around the world I wish you a happy day, together with your loved ones, the days are advancing rapidly and we are getting closer to Christmas in a few days ends the month of October and in the city of Cumana will begin the decorations with Christmas motifs and the birthday of the city which is celebrated on November 27, the squares, shopping malls and main avenues of the city, are decorated with lights, figures alluding to Christmas and elements representing the cultural heritage of the city.

The city of Cumaná, capital of the state of Sucre, is located in the coastal area of the Northeastern Region of Venezuela and is crossed north-south by the Manzanares River. It is of colonial origin and stands out for its buildings influenced by colonial architecture, squares and museums that pay tribute to several of the country and the state, The Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Museum and Ayacucho Park are located on Humboldt Avenue in the center of the city. Both buildings pay homage to Antonio José de Sucre, Venezuelan hero and outstanding military officer during the process of emancipation of the country from Spanish rule, born in Cumaná.
The Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho museum stands out for its colonial influenced building, with semi-arched windows, rectangular main door and columns with fretwork shape in the corners of the building; it has two floors, on the first floor is located the library and exhibition areas of prominent regional artists, on the upper floor there are various objects belonging to the Grand Marshal and his family, also paintings alluding to the battles where the hero from Cumaná participated.
La ciudad de Cumaná capital del estado Sucre se ubica en la zona costera de la Región Nor oriental de Venezuela y es atravesada en sentido norte sur por el Río Manzanares, es de origen colonial y destaca por sus construcciones influenciadas por la arquitectura colonial, plazas y museos que rinden homenaje a varios del país y la entidad, en la avenida Humboldt en pleno centro de la ciudad se ubica el museo Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho y el parque Ayacucho, ambas construcciones rinden homenaje a Antonio José de Sucre prócer venezolano y destacado militar durante el proceso de emancipación del país del dominio español, nacido en Cumaná.
El museo Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho destaca por su edificio de influencia colonial, con ventanas en forma de semi arco, puerta principal rectangular y columnas con forma de greca en las esquinas del edificio; consta de dos plantas, en la planta baja se ubica la biblioteca y áreas de exposiciones de destacados artistas regionales, en el piso superior se encuentran diversos objetos pertenecientes al Gran Mariscal y su familia, también cuadros alusivos a las batallas donde participó el prócer cumanés.
The Ayacucho park is located next to the museum, has spacious areas for family fun and recreation, also has a circular fountain, benches and a reinforced concrete stage where important cultural events are held, also artisans exhibit their products in the walkways of the park; At the main entrance there is a statue of Antonio José de Sucre mounted on a horse, the sculpture rests on a concrete pedestal and this on a rectangular base covered with marble; Ayacucho Park is a meeting point for friends and visitors as well as a reference point given its strategic location in the center of the city where the main streets of the economic center of Cumana converge; Mariño and Bermudez streets, many public transportation lines run through this area.
When I do my errands downtown I like to pass by this park to rest and enjoy the fresh breeze.
El parque Ayacucho se ubica al lado del museo, cuenta con espaciosas áreas para la diversión y esparcimiento de la familia, además tiene una fuente circular, bancos y una tarima de concreto armado donde se realizan importantes eventos culturales, también los artesanos exhiben sus productos en las caminerías del parque; en la entrada principal se encuentra una estatua de Antonio José de Sucre montado en un caballo, la escultura descansa en un pedestal de concreto y este en una base rectangular recubierta con mármol; el parque Ayacucho es un punto de encuentro de amigos y visitantes además un punto referencial dada su ubicación estratégica en el centro de la ciudad donde convergen las principales calles del centro económico de Cumaná; la calle Mariño y Bermúdez, mucha líneas de transporte público recorren esta zona.
Cuando hago mis diligencias en el centro me gusta pasar por este parque para descansar y disfrutar la brisa fresca.
