Bangkok's Hidden Train Jungle !!
Today i decided to make my way over to Makkasan Train Station in the capital of Bangkok. Makkasan station is one of the biggest train station in Bangkok city which links you to Suvarnabhumi Bangkok airport people that go to this station can check in there luggage at this station and it's all taken care of without having to wait in cues when you arrive at the airport from this train.
When i arrived at Makkasan station i had a little walk around the suburb as i always like to do when i am in a new suburb but also i wanted to have some lunch before heading out to find this train jungle i was told about.
You got to love there electrical wire techniques.
This made my laugh the 69 Barber it's a name you would choose for a sex night club but this is amazing Thailand remember 😂
After my little walk around and having a bit to eat i headed back to Makkasan station just in time to see a old locomotive flying past this cross road heading to the south of Thailand love seeing and hearing the sounds of these massive machines roaring pass.
The airport railway link train above which i came on from the city to Makkasan station which takes you all the way to the Bangkok airport roaring above the commercial rail link.
This guy was not going to be to impressed seeing this on his car 😨
I was told that this Train Jungle was around near Makkasan station but been in Thailand with no signs to direct you it could be anywhere , i asked a couple of Thai people but they had no idea and usually Thai locals will tell you to turn left when you should be turning right so it was a waste of time GPS had no idea either 😂
These bus trucks are used to transport locals home after hopping of the train at Makkasan station.
Anyway i knew i was in the right area after reading an article on this huge train repair area in Makkasan it was suppose to be along the railway line but the railway line when for miles so i decided to walk along the railway line and try my luck it was a cool drizzling day for a walk anyways and as i was walking along the train line another huge locomotive came roaring pass how awesome.
An old security guard box no longer in use.
As i get further up the train tracks i look over to my right through these trees and shrubs and see just the tops of these train carriages behind this maybe 2 meter brick fence , i thought to myself this is got to be it so i started to make my way closer to this brick fence.
The probably been i wasn't gear up to go trapping into unknown shrubs not only because it is monsoon period over here the grounds are wet and muddy and who knows what was lurking around in them shrubs like snakes which would be my greatest fear so i tried to pick the more visible trails towards this brick fence.
I had pathed my way through the shrubs getting bitten by mosquitoes , frighting of big red ants that were biting the hell out of me , falling into a couple of muddy pot holes but luckily no snakes made it to a pile of wooden sleepers and climbed my way up.
As i was standing on these stacks of wooden sleepers still fighting of mosquitoes and red fire ants i couldn't believe my eyes stretching into the jungle were rows of train cars cover in shrubs and vines it looked rather spooky but incredible to be seeing this.
I am sure some of these mangled up trains there were victims of these wrecks that would not have survived the accidents and are now mangled beyond repair which maybe are used for spare parts only now.
I was very tempted to jump the brick fence and get over the other side not been worried about been arrested for trespassing but more of been eaten alive by the red fire ants , mosquitoes and possible snakes so i decided not to and moved further along the railway tracks i would be safer walking along the tracks i would say.
You always see a lot of squatters and very poor people building up shacks and tents living along the railway lines because it's government land they don't get kicked of unless the government is to build something there then they just find another spot.
I could see these rows of train carriages in the distance behind this brick wall that was stretching for miles and i was told all belong to the SRT Makkasan State Railway Factory of Thailand and that most are been scavenged for parts to fix cars that will make their way back onto Thai rails.
This guy was fishing from this filthy lake really i wouldn't be eating them fish...lol
Thais can nap anywhere..lol 😂
The day had been long and sore after been bitten several times in the day i had decided to get of the track and make my way home but not until another roaring freight locomotive train came roaring by.
This little fella comes over says hello to me i give him a little head scratch say good-bye and i off to the next train station which was about a 15 minute walk from the tracks.
Just a few Bangkok street photos on my way to the BTS station for my journey home there was more to see along this railway line but i will leave that for part 2. Hope you enjoy your walk with me along the Hidden Train Jungle.
At the station now and you can see the railway tracks below that go all the way to south of Thailand about 700 km long.

Can i ask you some thing @phortun i decided to edited my post and put a different front cover photo on this post and when i updated the post it come up as a whole new post again so now i have to same post on my page not sure what i can do to delete one or not a bit confused how that happen ?
If you don't mind, I'll answer it.
This is one of the esteemapp/ecency bugs. You think you are editing a post, but the program thinks otherwise. :) You didn't notice what was written on the publish button — Publish (new post) or Update (update post). Pay attention to this. I've had this happen a couple of times, and in such cases, I always update the duplicated post, replacing the old content with a completely new one.
Right thank you for clarifying that @alexanderfluke i didn't notice that about the publish button but next time i will now that you have mention this fact.
Thanks for taking your time explaining this to me @alexanderfluke 👍
You're welcome 🙂
Thank you 😊
Thank you @phortun i enjoyed every moment seeing this despite been bitten by red fire ants and mosquitoes 🤔
Is there a tag for Urbex ?
There is actually an entire Urbex community here ;)
Oh cool i will take a look at it. Thanks @phortun 👍

I will have a look at voting your witness soon 👍
I guess in times like this, you get to see the train station in a different more quiet side of it.
Haha..this is true but either the parts or some of the trains make it back on the track eventually 😊
Hi @bigsambucca, I would like to verfiy your identity please.
Can you please confirm if you are @hangin and @kohsamui99, and that all three accounts are the same person? In one of your earlier posts @bigsambucca said you were stranded in Thailand due to Covid, but that is not true as @hangin has always been in Thailand. Also in one of @kohsamui99 posts, some images previously appeared in @hangins's post.
I don't have an issue with people using alts for different purposes, especially since @hangin's account has been blacklisted, but I'm not a big fan of people pretending to be different people. Would appreciate if you can verify these three account ownership. Thanks
Please sent me a friends request on discord @bigsambucca #9680 I tried to send you a friends request but it would not accept it you need to friend me it said.
Thank you @livinguktaiwan
Done, I would like to understand all your alts please. thanks
