Bangkok the city of Contrasts.

Bangkok is one of the safest and affordable cities to visit or live , it is a city that has more visitors that any other city in the world and once you have been here it doesn’t take long to realize why. Bangkok is a city of contrasts with a feast of sights and sounds at every corner you turn.

Bangkok city is know as the "City of Angels" it never sleeps from morning to night the city remains vibrant there are a array of exotic things that can be done in this city to make up the lifestyle of a expat's experience in Bangkok city. It is not all about the gleaming temples although they are all a sight to see especially the Royal Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn.

Taking a Tuk-Tuk through the bustling town of Chinatown was one of the things i did just to see how alive and hard working this part of Bangkok was and it was certainly crowded with noddle shops , street vendors and the busy Vespa motorbike riders zooming through the alleyways either dropping of there deliveries or picking up to deliver it was a sight to see.

As the morning chaotic traffic comes to a less chaotic morning and the hundreds of locals are in there officers working all the street vendors are preparing for the lunch rush as the workers pour out of there office buildings for there lunch break and you can smell the aromas of all these delicious foods making there way down the streets touching your taste buds giving you that hunger for food.

Lunch-Time 😊

bkk-47.jpg

bkk-48.jpg

There are many green areas within the city of Bangkok where a lot of the office workers will take to enjoy that hour lunch break of peacefulness sitting on a park bench as and it's perfect for the expats to take a walk in these many parks around Bangkok and enjoy the botanical gardens , wildlife and maybe take a paddle around the man made lakes.

The Chao Phrays River is another highlight of Bangkok city you can take tours along this river either on the tour boats or on a personal longtail boat you will see the most amazing temples and culture lifestyle living of the people along this river mixed with the old and the new and many extraordinary bridges to be seen also.

bkk-31.jpg

bkk-32.jpg

bkk-33.jpg

bkk-36.jpg

There is also lots of interesting graffiti in back streets and alleyways if you want to get of the beaten track it's always interesting as you will meet the real locals and maybe have a bit of a chitchat with them.

Apart from Bangkok's many extravagant shopping malls where you can treat yourself without overspending and all the ever popular markets like Chatuchak markets where you will find anything you can dream of we need to talk about Bangkok's food vendors.

bkk-49.jpg

bkk-50.jpg

bkk-51.jpg

bkk-52.jpg

bkk-53.jpg

bkk-54.jpg

As we know worldwide Bangkok city is referred to as one big kitchen and this i believe every street every corner you turn has street food vendors you will never starve in Bangkok city and the varieties are endless.

bkk-55.jpg

bkk-56.jpg

bkk-57.jpg

bkk-58.jpg

bkk-59.jpg

bkk-60.jpg

bkk-62.jpg

Locals in Bangkok are just so passionate about there foods whether it be a streetside noddle dish , barbecue chicken or seafood , spicy dishes or a spicy somtam they are all exciting dishes , tasty and at reasonable prices.

bkk-65.jpg

bkk-64.jpg

bkk-63.jpg

bkk-67.jpg

bkk-68.jpg

bkk-70.jpg

When you think the day is over Bangkok city comes more alive at nights with street foods vendors selling out front of big shopping malls set up with some live music and the night goes on with more extravagant eating goes on with a couple of cool beers.

bkk-71.jpg

bkk-72.jpg

bkk-74.jpg

bkk-76.jpg

bkk-77.jpg

bkk-79.jpg

bkk-80.jpg

bkk-82.jpg

And for most visitors here in Bangkok city of angels after a good feed the night would not be complete without a glimpse of its famous nightlife where the night will go off in a bang. Bangkok never ceases to amaze as the saying goes 😊

Ouuh maaaaan, I love Bangkok! Lived there for 6 months because of a semester abroad. I agree with everything that you mentioned but I would not say that it is one of the safest cities, especially for travellers ;) Someone must not be stupid. Otherwise yeah it is unlikely that you will have problems.

Nice that you got to experience and see Bangkok city i suppose we can say safer then some other cities but it always comes down to common sense that's what keeps you safer in any part of the world.

Le sigh...

You really know how to tease me, right? This was another amazing post, brought to me by you. You really went over the top in Chinatown. I love Chinatown, in whatever city I am in. This, however, rivals the best I have ever seen! This post really brought the house down with $$, and I must say that you deserve every single penny.

You engage every one of my senses with your posts. The food is jaw-dropping in its sheer abundance! The green spaces are glorious! You just want to run through the grass with your bare feet. The architecture scores on historical, and totally amazing to still be intact when it was built before Jesus walked this earth. (providing you believe in Jesus!) :)) Or so modern, so updated, so new, it has won awards for being the biggest of something.

The markets, from wet to big box stores, you have done it.

The beaches, the beauty, the golden hour, and then the old section of town. Simply amazing. You have to know that. I adore that you give them to me and #MarketFriday. I thank you, always. I appreciate the love and support you are giving to #MarketFriday! I feel like we are finally getting a core group which is great! There are so many challenges here on Hive and it warms my heart to see that you chose to be a part of this one. It is people such as yourself that made it into such a successful challenge! It takes a lot of effort and thoughts to put together a post for the #MarketFriday challenge. I know this first-hand and so, again, it is appreciated. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

How to Participate:

Go to the market! Any market will do! Food, clothing, plant, or animal, if you wish. You can go to the zoo, an art auction, and restaurants. Anywhere or anything that you pay money for any kind of service.
Take pictures! Be creative! It’s fun!
Tell us a little bit about the market, what brought you here?
Post the picture.(s)
Don’t forget to use the MarketFriday Community #196308 to post from or hashtag it! #MarketFriday by @dswigle If you hashtag it, drop the link to your post here so I can easily find them.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
