This is such a great post! I really mean that. I like how you bantered about real life for a few and then showed off pics.

Don't feel bad. I don't do meat in open markets when traveling. I can't. And I am okay with that! I am happy to hear that you are still staying in place.

I am so happy to see you posting in the #MarketFriday tag. It has been a constant challenge I am sure to come up with new material with so many businesses closed down and the fact that many people do not want to go into some of the crowded stores and Markets. In these times when COVID has made it challenging to put together a post, or even search out different locations, I can say with an optimistic attitude that #MarketFriday has survived the pandemic, thanks to all of you. Without your dedication to stretch what we call a market has been done successfully. Thank you! All of you! In doing so, we have discovered that we have added new dimension to the tag. As many have been staying closer to home, I have also discovered more and more about each of you and that has been pretty nice. I have to admit, with the platform broken into different communities and tags, we get to see the same people, more or less that join every week, so we get to know each other a little bit. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. We embrace each other as humans.

I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I am so happy to see you here! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!

Thanks for the kind words D. Market Friday survives the covid.....especially here in Thailand. As you can see in the photos, it's basically business as usual and nobody really cares or thinks twice about it. In fact I just took another look at this set of photos and half the people are either wearing a mask incorrectly or not at all! Have a great day and hope you are doing well.

I know, right??? This is a direct quote from Bloomberg.

The current flareup in coronavirus in Thailand, which started early April, has more than doubled the number of cases and deaths. The outbreak has triggered containment measures on businesses and travels, prompting several downgrades to the country’s growth forecasts this year. The slow pace of vaccination with limited supply may delay an economic recovery and tourism reopening plans, fueling job losses.

Although some people in the group said that they didn’t have enough funds or the right skill sets to move abroad, others said they have started looking into different immigration programs to apply. The group is planning to launch a website that will compile information about emigration shared among members for the benefit of anyone wanting to leave Thailand.

Yeah, I think that is a little played up. When they say it doubled the death, yeah it went from 50 to 100 in over a year. probably a 100 die every day for motor accidents. They report on each death in the country, and it usually goes like this....80 year old with heart condition, 45 year old who was obese.......Each death is a tragedy though and I get that. The government so far has been good at getting cases under control so I hope they can do it again.

I know!!! Isn't that crazy? The truth is, we can make the news say anything we want.

I think they were doing a great job!
