THE GOALS

Every human being must have the desire and a dream. Both of these things are a bit similar but have differences. Desire is the thing that we didn't get, but still possible, for example, I don't have a car but I have no desire to have a car because I have a job and income that I can save to buy a car in the future. While the dream is to state what we want but it is difficult and we may not get, for example, I had a dream of finding One Piece (sorry, just kidding), or I dreamed of playing football for a club of Liverpool FC but I am not an athlete.

In college, I attended leadership training. In the training, there is a challenge to write down what 100 things you will do or want. I wrote that challenge with half-joking. I also don't remember what I wrote, but some points I still remember like :

  • I want to get married before the age of 27 (achieved, because I was married at the age of 26 years old)
  • can drive a car (I can already do it)
  • continue education up to Ph.D. (failed because I have been very lazy to go to college again)
  • go out of the country with a passport of Indonesia

After 10 years I wrote my wish list, some of the points that I write first start to occur and passed but there is one desire I knew is happening in 2019, which is to go out of the country. My wife more often goes out of the country, such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Special to Thailand, my wife is very often going home because it has a fashion business where the goods are taken directly from Bangkok, Thailand.

My passport was made in 2016 and is still clean white before I depart to Malaysia. I have a chance to get out of the country when there is an exchange program of students from the campus to learn the 6 months at one of the campuses in Malaysia. But, I did not go because at that time I also had screen-printing business clothes are hard I leave.

MY FIRST PASSPORT STAMP

Travel to Malaysia to be my first experience out of the country we went in May 2019 in week three of the month of Ramadan or when we, Muslims are fasting. My wife and choose a low-cost to Kuala Lumpur, as it also saves the cost of the trip. We've got five days, and I choose to Melaka and stay for two days, and then my wife asked for three days in Kuala Lumpur because many of the travelers and also order shoes for sale again in Indonesia.

Why did I choose Melaka to place my first vacation ? not Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, or Genting Highland. First, because I was a history buff. For us, the people of Indonesia and the Malaysian residents, get to Know the Malacca as the entrance of the Europeans to the region of the straits of Melaka. In 1511, the Portuguese came up setting foot into Melaka, through a very long voyage. The Portuguese explorers came after the results of the agreement with Spain divides the earth into two parts (nothing wrong with the people in the Centuries to -15 this)

Second, many types of food that I didn't get in my Country. I had a chance to try various types of food sold there during fasting such as fish ball and Chicken Rice Ball (a kind of Chinese food), Chicken Tandori (a type of Indian food or Pakistani food), and also some other types of food that I forgot what it's called.

Third, have a spot photo and building a very interesting history. At a glance see the shape of Malacca city is very similar to the city of colonial Indonesia, from the shape of the building and the pattern of the road. But Melaka can make his city very beautiful. First, we can come to Stadhyus, the city center of Malacca in the paint around with the colors of terracotta, just walk without the need to rent a car we can be more beneficial for both sides the beauty of the buildings of the 17th century. The photo here is very suitable for social media.

Not far from that place, we can go to a church that has existed since the Dutch era (I don't know this church is catholic or protestant) and then fell into the hands of the English, who is named Christ Church Melaka. The church is very big with the color of terracotta striking.

Walk a bit and rather climbed the ladder, we could come to the Church of St. Paul. According to the description I found in the location, this is the oldest church in Southeast Asia. Church Of St. Paul is now in ruins but that we could see some tombstones very large with written English language.

I also had to drop into one of the mosques on the edge of the sea. If we see at a glance the mosque is floating in one of the waters of the busiest in the world, namely the straits of malacca. At this mosque named masjid Selat Malaka, I took myself to prayer and looking at the panorama, and enjoy the wind that made my day feels calm.

I don't care for the experience of what I'll get I only had the desired passport I've ever used.
