Climbing Mount Sinai, Egypt (5 pics)

After a 10 hours night trek to climb to the summit, we took a few minutes to admire the sunrise over Mount Sinai, Egypt.

The view was cool but cold.

There was a good vibe around us since it was the place where Moses supposedly received the 10 Commandments from God.

Hiking to the top of Mount Sinai was quite an experience.

In complete darkness, with camels and horses going by, not knowing where your foot will end up...

The view at the top was superbe as the sun says Hi! at the right time.

Since we did the hike in the middle of the night to be able to see the sunrise, I did not see the landscape while climbing, but this vision in the morning was worth it.

When we first realize the path we used to get there, it's pretty scary.

We realize how much we could have fallen and hurt ourselves.

Luckily nothing happened, but I have to say the camels were the scariest to hear coming behind us as our reaction time had to be really quick to avoid them.
