Tuscany is one of best touristic region of Italy.

Not only for the wine, that is delicious, but also for its landscape and history.

If you know Italian wines, you must know this city name, Tuscany is full of nice little wine city to visit like Montepulciano.

Here, we can admire an old Etruscan cellar transformed into a wine cellar from which the wine tasting was so good!

We could clearly taste the difference between a wine from 2010, 2009 and 2008.

Delicious!

The fortress of Montepulciano is a castle that has been shattered and restored several times over the centuries.

Today, it is transformed into a cultural center where exhibitions and events of all kinds take place.

It is located on top of a hill that overlooks the area, so we can also admire the Tuscany region and take a nice break with a beautiful view.

Santa Lucia Church is a baroque style church that was designed in 1653.

A charming church which has a pretty chapel and masterpieces paintings worth lingering a bit.

I would love to be able to travel through time to see what it was like back then… who knows, maybe one day it will be possible.

In the meantime, we can admire old medieval structures all around the Tuscany region.

This is Tempio di San Biagio, an impressive Renaissance church that was built between 1518 and 1540 that is located in a field below the limestone ridge outside the Montepulciano walls.

I am sad that I couldn't see the inside as it was too far to walk there during my one day trip to the city as I preferred to visit the winery instead.

Maybe next time.

The wine is amazing!
If you can, try not to book a winery tour and do it yourself, it's easy and so much more interesting to be the only ones there for the tasting.

Good. I saw so many people taking organized tours while I was there, I thought it was a shame. Even if they don't speak the language, it shouldn't stop people.

Tuscany is beautiful. I haven't been there for over a decade, but I still remember it like yesterday - despite all the great wine I drank.

haha, I little wine everyday is part of the experience.
Anyway, it's impossible to go to Italy and not try a few... I would say it would be a sacrilege.
