Living decor in a big city, Shanghai, China (5 pics)

Most Chinese may not even notice it, but for us as a simple explorer, this is a surprising place that feels good to discover in a big city like shanghai.

A huge wall of flowers along the Huangpu river, in the bund district.

These are indeed living flowers and I take my hat off for the installation and maintenance team of this wall.

If you go to see it up close, you can have fun counting the number of pots needed to cover this 12 meters high by 1.7 km long wall.

This wall is called the Lover's wall or the Valentine wall.

At one time, Shanghai lovers didn't have many entertainment options they could rely on, so this wall became a common meeting point and courtesy.

It is shocking to learn that it was originally a flood control wall!

Not very romantic is it? It just goes to show that things change a lot over time.

A little further in the same sector, living sculptures.

Another perfectly maintained place that perfumes the atmosphere.

I have to say that I don't remember the exact location of this flower arrangement, but it is just as interesting to admire as the first one.

Between the wall of flowers and these sculptures of happy dolphins playing, which is the most romantic place?
